Hey, I have another problem with Mario Builder. Whenever I upload a custom background, it always switches to a colored background (i.e., red, blue or black) or a different background. I tried making a duplicate of the file, keeping one in Downloads and one in the Upload_Files folder, but it still won't work. How can I fix it???
Unfortunately Mario Builder's custom backgrounds are a little bugged... like once you go to another section (like another course for example) and come back, for some reason Mario Builder either picks up an entirely different (custom) background or just doesn't use the background what so ever anymore for that. There might be a work around to that like keep it all in one course including bonus sections, or maybe use an entirely different course altogether... it's not an easy one to do, since from my end it's the same exact issue, so it sadly needed a workaround to that, like using a background that came from the game itself... it may feels limiting, but if the problems persists, maybe make an entirely new course or use a default background from the game itself. I honestly am not sure as of why Mario Builder's custom backgrounds are made to be bugged to begin with as I also wanted to have such nice custom backgrounds that the game doesn't have, but with it's limitations at hand, I unfortunately have to work around by that issue.

Are the backgrounds you use PNG files?
