- Boeing is under scrutiny over a series of incidents, including when a door blew out of a 737 Max plane shortly after take-off.
Two competing hearings were held in Congress on Wednesday to discuss safety issues on Boeing planes.
Engineer Sam Salehpour accused Boeing of taking shortcuts in the construction of its 787 and 777 jets.
He claimed he was "threatened with termination" after raising concerns with bosses.
But Boeing said the claims were "inaccurate" and added it was confident its planes were safe.

75% Boeing employees would not fly on a Boeing!
Boeing murdered a guy. What happened with that?
lol no idea, i think boeing has links to the CIA.
lol the way this dude is shaking it looks lie he was also about to be murdered
If you have the evidence to prove your 💩 statement then send it to the CIA, you won’t of course as your all mouth
One man? Try 350+!
Well, we know for sure BBC won't investigate that will they??
Its about time as this fine company needs to be rescued from its executives and other incompetents
It needs to be rescued from McDonald Douglas, who bought Boeing with Boeing's own money. 😉
If you’re a customer then refuse to fly on any Boeing plane until the company has had a major overhaul where engineers are back in charge over business and marketing executives!
Have spent $300 more than I needed to on a recent booking and had to accept an inconvenient flight time so that I would not be on a Boeing aircraft. Close relative worked at Boeing and advised me.
You're an idiot sir
Don’t blame you. That money wouldn’t do you much good, if the plane went down or you got blown out the plane by a door coming off.
Corporate greed at its finest!
THEY TOOK SHORTCUTS AND SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE! CANCEL ALL THEIR GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS IMMEDIATELY!
That was reported on Redacted weeks ago. You haven’t mentioned the death of the Boeing whistleblower either
No worries. It'll be fine. Just like the carbon fibre submersible.
But do you condemn Boeing?
Afrer they killed the whistleblower.
They do not want you flying
Boeing is taking their cues from China and making tofu planes.
Nah, China has nothing to do with it. It's ' Merican capitalism
@@mariyamwanikiignorance may be your guiding light, but you may want that education you ignored in school... 😂 Oops, you magats want to be ignorant. Enjoy being as useless as your tangerine traitor.
if it is a boeing, im not going..
Thank you for this discussion. Boeing's reassurances are not convincing me - at all. It's Airbus for me.
Travel Airbus not Boeing
What has changed is incompetent DEI hires
This is just to psychologically put poeple off flying, chipping away peoples confidence in professional workmanship. What kind of shoddy workmanship is this!??
bang on the money
I guess Boeing's safety record is really up in the air these days! ✈️
Dreamliner problems are well known for many years. The stringers in the airframe were very poorly fitted and staff were very unmotivated and unlistened to.
Bullpucky!! Compare incident reports/ cycle of 737MAX and not the 737. Better still, against airbus. The data is clear- exponentially higher.
Unregulated capitalism is dangerous!
It's not unregulated, the regulating body has been acting crazy along with Boeing
Capitalism only benefits the elite…end of…
@@VauxhallQueen but the regulating body is corrupt with capitalists. one of the most corrupt counties in the world when it comes to gun culture and health care just to start
It wasn’t unregulated… Boeing was allowed by the FAA to self-regulate 😂 allowing companies to check their own work is never a good solution, hence why we are now here 😅
@@VauxhallQueenthat is hilarious after 4 years of deregulations by the "trump" administration. You maga minions love to be intentionally stupid. Facts are relevant when making comments. But not for you magats.
Whats the doorplugs of Alaska Air got to do with Airbus at 1:10? It was a Boeing's issue and not Airbus's
Yes ?
@@saikrishnan.kkrishnan5716 the way the newscaster says it, it was as if its an Airbus probldm
They should stop those plane from flying right away
the plan is to stop us flying
Diversity hires
If it’s Boeing I ain’t going

Shame on those people in Boeing, they knew and said nothing. Wow, just wow!
The presenter asked David Cameron - the UK Foreign Secretary: What would the UK do if an enemy country bombed one of its consulates?
Cameron: We will take very strong action to defend our interests.
Presenter: So Iran has the right to defend its interests after Israel bombed its consulate in Damascus, right?
Cameron: It's very different, Iran has no right to attack another sovereign country like Israel. (Extreme hypocrisy and arrogance)
B.S
No confidence that Boeing will change
How many DC-3s are in a rebuildable condition, now sitting in storage?
The chorus sounds like a song ive heard before, someone help me figure it out
Boeing's history in one sentence: from "if it's not Boeing, I'm not going" to "if it's Boeing, I'm not going"
Yes I'm worried about prices going up, planes falling apart mid air is no worry at all.
The FAA is complacent in this and applying no pressure. Read the first 2 chapters of "vulture capitalism" and it paints a 'greed first, wellfare last' culture at its core, scary stuff.
And the model 'Dreamliner' is new, based off the 737. Sure the 737 has been flying for decades, but the 787 dreamliner is a different beast, built recently, and with a lot of shortcuts to meet tight deadlines.
FAA is sleeping on the wheel.
Maybe investigate their murder case too
The BBC history channel again - this was reported on alternative media weeks ago .
We hold these truths to be self-evident: That no man is created equal to another. That it is everyone's duty to respect the emotional and physical wellbeing of any other person. That anyone who desires to create life is responsible for the emotional and physical wellbeing of that life for the duration of their own lifetime. That creating a person with a mental, pyshcological, or physical disability is a crime.
Oh.. Imagine....how could that happen... mmmh
I am simply gobsmacked. I certainly would not feel secure like in the past when confronted in flying a Boeing aircraft.
Why are you talking about implications? you haven't established sufficient evidence yet.
About time. I’ve been watching for this to be taken seriously.
This is fact. It’s cheaper for Boeing to pay out compensation to families of victims of air crashes, than to ground its entire fleet on safety grounds. Ethical capitalism!!! Hahahahaha
Or people will prioritize their life and not fly but use alternayr transportation
Building planes by numbers, different parts being manufactured by different companies and putting them together under the Boeing name
Embraer aircraft much nicer
Airbus all the way now. Disgusting fall from grace for a giant in aviation history. Microcosm for western culture that is failing due to greed.
stop flying on boeing
Boing used to be a synonym for integrity. Now it's a source of American shame. Make Boing Great Again 🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭
Terrible and not safe
Profit before safety. Dreadful 😮😡🇬🇧💙💙💙💙💙🙏🇬🇧🇺🇦♥️🥰👍
Boeing Boeing Gone.
Boeing's aircraft are fundamentally out of balance by design
Boeing must learn quality standards from China. 😂😂😂
God's be good!
Dream Liner. What? It is a dream disaster currently. Why did you destroy the name of the person whom Dream aviation in the future "BOEING".
I hate flying anyway.
Yes,because it’s all about you.

bbc, look passenger aircraft industry where there is monopoly disguised as duopoly
Come fly with lego😂
IN fairness I would rather some yank build or maintain my plane than someone in Pakistan, where 40% of pilots had fake licences.
Boeing mighty Corporation gambling with safety, prestige and market value.
SHODY QUALITY CONTROL !
So, if you can't trust Boeing jetliners, how can the astronauts trust the Starliner spacecraft? I don't!
Just hire more infinate engineers. Tbey can't talk about it, but we know what it means ;)
They been having to much issues theirs not safe
