What I great idea! We just spent a couple of months in the RV in Florida. This would have been perfect for hiding my rings or other "treasured" jewelry. But, better than that...before we left, I hid the key to my large wall jewelry cabinet. We're home a week and I still don't remember where I put the key! LOL This would be great in the closet at home for the keys or anything else I wanted to hide while away. Thanks so much for sharing such a quick and easy sewing project.

Love it. Going to make my daughter one. Was thinking why not sew the second pocket on the front where the zipper is, like when you add 3 0r 4 pockets to a craft apron. Then sew the front and back together. But such an easy project using up large scrap material.

This is a great video. I think I can do this even with my remedial sewing skills and make some great gifts!

I really like the hanger cover, but I think I would just hem the bottom without closing it up. If you ever had a hanger break, you would be able to easily replace it without having to disassemble the cover. Also, it would be easy to launder if it got dirty or musty while in off season storage.

You could save yourself time and just stitch on or near the line you made tracing the hanger. 😊

Loved loved you tutorial but wondering for travel in the event the hangar would get broken could you leave the bottom open to be able to replace hangars?or slip over hotel hangers? I want to send to my college kids but hangars are awkward to ship so without hangar in them the hangar can be inserted when they get them.

And I would like to add that belts and scarves could be hung on the hangar with the cover over them.
