I've got one of these, I too had hoped it would be better. Yes the noise is bad, and it being direct drive doesn't sound like a compressor you hear in a garage. I want to buy a high pressure bench mounted parts washer, the specs of the compressor are more than enough to run it, but just blowing air and the tank is refilling after a few minutes. Same problem you had when spraying your fence. You also mentioned an issue with the long hose, it looks the same as mine and loses a lot of pressure. The manufacturer of the parts washer said the compressor would be fine if connected directly to the compressor. Would having a hose 2m long of good quality make the air last any longer? I've no idea. Maybe I need a compressor with similar specs but can run and maintain the amount of air.
I've just got one of these. Ran it for 10 minutes without pressure to work the cylinders in. It is loud. I haven't used it on automatic yet. What pressure in psi does it get up to & what does the side nozzle do with the red cap?
@@barlow2976 That’s right they’re made in China which is scary but they should be tested and approved so as long as that’s genuine that’s what we have to go by, AY dude 🤞🏻
@Damian Butterworth how long can you run the sand blaster before the compressor needs to fill up again? I want a high pressure parts washers, but need it to run for 30 mins
@@twdmullins I`m sure it says on the instructions 80 cfm compressor needed. I`ll try and find it to confirm. You can get silent compressors now. My is working most of the time. I`ll try and find the vid I made.
Hi mate nice one Can it be use for tyre changer machine ? AS-20SA TYRE CHANGER MACHINE. I’m thinking to buy one but not sure if it works for tyre changer machine ?
Hello matey A good honest review so don't change a thing, most stuff these days is made in China and to be honest some gear you wonder how they can make if for the price and its superb quality and on the other hand there's a lot of stuff that has the China cloud hanging over it. Before you buy anything just look at reviews like yours, Then pay your money and take the chance. Thanks again.
Had one of these in the workshop, and you can't knock em for the price. Bit bad on condensation build up in the tank. Great for mechanics but not so good for spray paint over large areas. Nice one... A sensible video... Can we have an early morning rant video next, or a radio video, or an early morning radio rant video!! 👍
One thing i find the companey getting stuff made in china will get what they pay for want cheap get cheap pay extra get high end product but the consumer gets the higher cost
All compressors are made in china, no matter what brand, clarke advertise that they are British built, but no. China.. just assembled in the uk,, its all a con
Will it pump up my life size doll lol 😆
Good video mate.

I have a small Thorn Lab fridge compressor that I use at night because it`s so quite.
Can you please do a workshop/tool box tour and show us some of your most used tools and why.
I think it would be really interesting and helpful
Thanks
Hi matey was it you that asked for that before? I’ll see what I can come up with this weekend.
@@RSPYT Think I may have done a while back.
Nice one mate 👌👍
what hose do you recommend ? I have just brought the 20m sgs hose and hose reel of the website for £22
Thanks for review. How many HP is it? Cheers Stu 👍

What often fails on these is the outlet valve casting, which cracks as it is monkey metal.

What size are the fittings for tools
would this supply enough air for a bit of DIY sand blasting? (Motorcycle frame / parts.)
I would of thought so yeah!
I just got a sandblaster from SGS. SSB200. It needs 10 CFM. It`s a good cabinet for £240 off EBay.

Does it need to be connected to a 30amp fused spur? Many thanks Mel
Nope 240V 13A
How many minutes it takes to fully pump.the tank to full?
Hmm maybe about 3 I'd say
To be fair British made dont gurantee quility product.

I personally don’t mind at all buying a more expansive product as long as the quality reflects the price

That's true
Shit, ordered £1650 worth of tools from sgs. Cancelling now. Dont need chinese crap !! Thanks for warning us pal!!
No problem :) was you under the impression it was English made too?
@@RSPYT yes. It was well addvertised online as Uk product. Even had a car jack ordered 👍🤣
I have the car jack... It works OK but not anything special lol
Quite obviously Chinese for what you're paying.
Thats abit bad I'm surprised it's made in China, as they put all over there website that its British made
I've got the 50l one and works well, I also thought it was British made 🤔
They only thing made in the UK are bent politicians.
No they don't, they say they are a British company. What did you think you were going to get at that price?
Might be a British company but most of their products are made in China with their branding on.
