been playing the reimagined mod for the past week, level 79 and progressed to a4 hell and have found 2 sur's and an ohm. this increased drop rate of runes is one of my favorite QoL changes they've made.
Given the fact that they went ahead and made D2R to begin with, it's mind boggling that they didn't implement some of these QOL changes when that game launched. Especially considering that they've added post-launch support and new rune words, etc. Really begs the question what the F is going on in some of these dev meetings. It's clearly something that can be done with relative ease based on the vast array of mods that all have these QOL changes already. So why wouldn't the devs embrace this stuff and make the requisite updates?
I think most ppl that are/were interested in D2r is asking that question, im just as stumped as you are when asking myself that very question: Why the heck have they not added a lootfilter yet? seems like a very easy thing to do.
But at the end you need to be happy that D2R still was an excellent version (remember WC3 reforged……). But yeah, before spent time on RW my priority list for the 200-300h Dev hours they decided to spent would be on other sprint items 😅
Unfortunately this question is simple to answer. If they implemented too many of these qol changes then what would have been the draw to buy Diablo 4? guaranteed this was in the backs of their heads in every instance. 😮💨
@@brett4932 to get you itching to play a newer better Diablo of course. Once the nostalgia runs out, your next likely move would be to try out Diablo 4. They had to make it good enough to get the hype up and word out, while simultaneously keeping you wanting more. That way you would go get the game they really wanted you to buy Diablo 4.
I've considered myself more on the lines of purist... but since they've opened the doors to a shared stash, I'd absolutely LOVE to see stackable currency/craftables. Even if it's only in the tab... like you can't stack in inventory, just in stash tab. I like to craft and find runes, this takes up too much space.
Been playing the mod. My only minor gripe is the tp scroll+item=remove sockets. It literally gives them back. You can just reroll your runewords over and over and over. Its neat but also if thats the case why not just have everything roll perfect everytime?

I love the quick cast being added to d2r. It was a really good addition. I have been alternating between d2r reimagined and btdiablo while I wait for pd2 season 10. These are all fantastic mods that make the d2 experience so much more positive and gives the game longevity. I feel reimagined mod could probably do some work towards crafting weapons and armor at some point to flesh out that system but that's kind of the only real personal preference criticism I could throw its way. I don't think we will see these changes in the original d2r. I'm so grateful for having awesome modders crafting these superior versions and keeping us in the diablo 2 realm.

Mentioned in another one. Mods, loot filters in this are from the same ones allowed online. Mods in general is allowed. Look at Koreans streams. They often have a lot of mods with more things like cosmetic mods. Sure, trying to get it built in with filter is fine. If complaining about it w/o using loot filter mods, it's allowed. So not using mods if you want a loot filter, until or if, it even gets implemented is just not logical.
D2RR is an amazing upgraded form of D2R. Some changes i want is better rune breaking/a currency tab instead and up arrowed to up and down arrow to downgrade or something a lil better. spawn location is big. Loot filter is decently good, but they should upgrade it insted of N X E to be # of sockets instead. and skills if on the item.
I like that these changes are "realistic". I like the idea that we preserve as much of the authentic experience as possible, but the NPC related fixes are not messing with anything. For gems, runes, and jewels, how about 2x2 leather pouches that opens to 7x5 which houses all 35 gems, all 33 runes, and can house tons of jewels, and can't hold other items
You know the guy right next to Farah sells potions already? I think forcing you to talk to Drognan is fine. How often do you buy scrolls realistically.
Naaah I'll pass on that. Cancer starts is what I hate the most in D2 mods. Doesn't matter whether your mod gets good 15 hours in, I'm out 15 minutes in. I'm talking mods that throw you there at level 1 with 15% chance to hit a zombie that kills you in two shots (that always land). You'd be surprised how many mods start like this. Combat in D2 isn't skillful. It's a stat check first and foremost. Dumping players into such drastic disadvantage will ensure that they'll never play your mod past Blood Moor.

I entered the video thinking that you were just going to complain and be negative about D2R but I was relieved when I realized that wasn't the case. :) Many of the changes that you're proposing sound great to me. I'd like the ability to cast Teleport while in town for sure and having certain npcs have more accessible/necessary items would only make the game more convenient. Yes, that would make certain people irrelevant to visit in town - but is that a terrible thing? I know that I don't enjoy making that long run to buy certain items in town when visiting for repairs and recouping things.
For necros, is there any way reimagined mod can allow us to keep skellies, golems, and revives after new games? It is such a hassle and annoyance to have to revive 60+ monsters every time. This would be the biggest QOL improvement for a necro. Also, can reimagined mod add a beam of light for uniques as well? Those can be easily missed in a big pile of loot.
unfortunately no, i asked this same question to the mod devs, essentially the way its hardcoded, it would take an actual code savant to take apart and reassemble for this to happen. Even when you are able to summon to iron golems, only 1 will stay persistent between games.
I firmly believe the standard of heroes should offer infinite free Kadala respecs, BUT, only for the character that earned it. I think this would be fantastic QOL for build diversity.

you have to cube it twice, the first item + orb = corrupted item, then second: first corrupted item + same orb = ACTUAL corrupted item, and then the orb should get used up
I wish we could see the same amount of screen on Legacy graphics as we do on Resurrected graphics. For some reason they chose to put black bars on Legacy, but not on Resurrected. I really don't see the point.
The stackable currency and loot filter I get but the rest just seems like pleasantries for speed runners. It's not that big of a deal to go to a different npc for different needs.
Modders have kept interest in Diablo alive for years. I wish Bliz would recognize that and make mods available. The heavy lifting has been done for them. I realize we are talking about code and potential security issues, but reviewing code is far less time-consuming than creating it. C'mon Bliz! It's right there for you. Just grab it.
1. I don't think that stackable currency is the solution, y think the best solution is a Currency Tab, no weird cube recipes to get a rune, just go to the Currency Tab and grab what you need. Now the question is: Shared Currency Tab or 1 tab per character? 2. Love the shine on Runes (it should pop with Uniques too) 3. Fix and add more Uniques, make them viable to use, add auras, skills, better atributes. 4. More rune words, I cant believe that we don't have RW for Sorceress Wands, or Necro shields, or Barbarian Helms. 5. I Would love to use the SoH for a Cube Recipe to Corrupt an item, lets say *SOH + Jewel + Perfect Skull + Dol + Any Normal / Magic / Rare / Set / Unique item* and been able to Add open sockets OR add random attributes OR break the item (Literally, make them ETH with 0 durability) This will make the MF or trading of common items more intense, the search to make viable items from some that they are not right now. Lets put for example a Tyrael's Might Corrupted with 4 Open Sockets o 2+ Skills

It's ok for this video to be negative, Blizzard has done almost next to nothing for like 2 years since D2R was released. They have a way to print money if they allow modders to be online. All they have to do is host and modders will handle all the content creation.

D2 might have more players in the long run, but to be honest I don't think that is the right crowd to cater to for money. D2 only has the strongest player base in terms of longevity. Even then, economically speaking, what's the point of that? Even if they added a shop, I still think D4 is more appealing for the masses. D2 is a far more dedicated game. I love that about it, but that doesn't change most people aren't going to dedicate so much time. Sorry for the rant, and thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

I'll be honest.. I'd just rather see them fix many of the rare item and sets.. *get shit on Disciple set*. Like Sanders is a melee set through and through, with a crappy dmg wand for a wep (absolutely stupidly useless). That said, I'd love to see some of these *useless* sets become somewhat viable. They also need to remove teleport from enigma honestly..... That armor is just so powerful on its own and having teleport makes it the #1 top tier item in the game. Along with making Spirit more expensive as it is also end game gear that you can get and wear at lvl 25 for the majority of specs out there.
I think the problem they have with putting this in the game is, there coders do not know how to do it. There coders screw up every single season in D4. They wait until the middle of the season to start nerfing stuff and it causes a mass break down of quality and the game.enjoyment, Since they nerfed D4 my game keeps crashing non stop, i cant even play the game any more. So hopefully they keep these coders away from D2r and hire whoever made that modded game you are playing. :)

All these QoL exist in PD2 except for tele and BO in town but I can live without those cause PD2 is far superior in everyway except for the graphics but oh well I'd trade gameplay over graphics any day

I never understand why people play D2R in first place... PD2 has everything you ever wanted from diablo and mutliplayer modded experience which you cant get on modded D2R. Aside from graphics why do people play D2R? Its not exactly graphics that made people love and play d2 over the years. I played d2r briefly when it came out ( got to around lvl 95 so no slouch either) but its just inferior to PD2 in every way. And I love vanilla d2 experience, pd2 just enhances that; without changing the core experience, which is why even the most purist die hard d2 fans should give it a try, they will not go back to d2r after playing pd2 for 1 season.

Personally I'd like a rune split recipe for the cube at least in single player. Would stabilize the jumpy rune values though. I couldn't care less about the mass quantities of new rune words, sets, and uniques. I disagree with leave the base game alone, too. Mosaic needs nerfed. Soloes players 2000 isn't game breaking or anything....

Downloaded Reimagined Mod last night, it’s fantastic. It takes a lot from Project Diablo 2, which is a great thing.

It needs skill timers too! I didn't realize how handy those were until I went back to D2R and don't have them anymore!!

Stacking items not only improves stashing, but trading as well! Trading 100 gems can be a pain in the butt.

Which mod do you prefer? Last time I played a Diablo 2 mod was Median XL in 2010. Pretty sure it was the Omega version..

Modders have kept interest in Diablo alive for years. I wish Bliz would recognize that and make mods available. The heavy lifting has been done for them. I realize we are talking about code and potential security issues, but reviewing code is far less time-consuming than creating it.
C'mon Bliz! It's right there for you. Just grab it.
1. I don't think that stackable currency is the solution, y think the best solution is a Currency Tab, no weird cube recipes to get a rune, just go to the Currency Tab and grab what you need. Now the question is: Shared Currency Tab or 1 tab per character?
2. Love the shine on Runes (it should pop with Uniques too)
3. Fix and add more Uniques, make them viable to use, add auras, skills, better atributes.
4. More rune words, I cant believe that we don't have RW for Sorceress Wands, or Necro shields, or Barbarian Helms.
5. I Would love to use the SoH for a Cube Recipe to Corrupt an item, lets say *SOH + Jewel + Perfect Skull + Dol + Any Normal / Magic / Rare / Set / Unique item* and been able to Add open sockets OR add random attributes OR break the item (Literally, make them ETH with 0 durability) This will make the MF or trading of common items more intense, the search to make viable items from some that they are not right now. Lets put for example a Tyrael's Might Corrupted with 4 Open Sockets o 2+ Skills
just play POE at that point it is a better game anyways

If a vendor doesn't sell scrolls, you can just sell them your tp/id book and then buy it back full of scrolls.

It's ok for this video to be negative, Blizzard has done almost next to nothing for like 2 years since D2R was released. They have a way to print money if they allow modders to be online. All they have to do is host and modders will handle all the content creation.
The ironic part, is that they spend millions (maybe billions) on multiple Diablo projects that are weak. When updating their BEST game (maybe the best of all time) with the strongest player base is the most logical/ simple move. But nahhh

@@mandreadfg I'm sorry, but I must disagree. D4 is way more popular. Full stop. I vastly prefer D2 rather than D4, but that doesn't change the fact D4 is much more lucrative. D2 might have more players in the long run, but to be honest I don't think that is the right crowd to cater to for money. D2 only has the strongest player base in terms of longevity. Even then, economically speaking, what's the point of that? Even if they added a shop, I still think D4 is more appealing for the masses. D2 is a far more dedicated game. I love that about it, but that doesn't change most people aren't going to dedicate so much time. Sorry for the rant, and thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

Imo, if they just sold stash tabs, they'd see people still care and it's worth it. Yea yea stackables sound good, but I'd vote for buying tabs before this for an obvious reason: You choose what you pickup. Just stacking things makes it a nobrainer what you pick and I'd rather not become a vegetable. Let other people have the gear They want... not All the gear. Turning everyone into fiends. I'll be honest.. I'd just rather see them fix many of the rare item and sets.. *get shit on Disciple set*. Like Sanders is a melee set through and through, with a crappy dmg wand for a wep (absolutely stupidly useless). That said, I'd love to see some of these *useless* sets become somewhat viable. They also need to remove teleport from enigma honestly..... That armor is just so powerful on its own and having teleport makes it the #1 top tier item in the game. Along with making Spirit more expensive as it is also end game gear that you can get and wear at lvl 25 for the majority of specs out there.
the diablo2 resurrected team was fully moved to work on D4 i doubt any new updates will ever be added to D2r.

The lack of a currency tab is the reason I do not play D2R.
I think the problem they have with putting this in the game is, there coders do not know how to do it. There coders screw up every single season in D4. They wait until the middle of the season to start nerfing stuff and it causes a mass break down of quality and the game.enjoyment, Since they nerfed D4 my game keeps crashing non stop, i cant even play the game any more. So hopefully they keep these coders away from D2r and hire whoever made that modded game you are playing. :)

All these QoL exist in PD2 except for tele and BO in town but I can live without those cause PD2 is far superior in everyway except for the graphics but oh well I'd trade gameplay over graphics any day

I never understand why people play D2R in first place... PD2 has everything you ever wanted from diablo and mutliplayer modded experience which you cant get on modded D2R. Aside from graphics why do people play D2R? Its not exactly graphics that made people love and play d2 over the years. I played d2r briefly when it came out ( got to around lvl 95 so no slouch either) but its just inferior to PD2 in every way. And I love vanilla d2 experience, pd2 just enhances that; without changing the core experience, which is why even the most purist die hard d2 fans should give it a try, they will not go back to d2r after playing pd2 for 1 season.

I think it's showing the 1-33 number that the rune is with El being #1 and Zod #33. I don't think he found a stack of 30 Bers.

@@jjleejj there's a difference. I'm saying it needs a little more polish, like stackable runes and gems and a loot filter. Personally I'd like a rune split recipe for the cube at least in single player. Would stabilize the jumpy rune values though. I couldn't care less about the mass quantities of new rune words, sets, and uniques. I disagree with leave the base game alone, too. Mosaic needs nerfed. Soloes players 2000 isn't game breaking or anything....

I find great joy in knowing D2 absolutely shakes blizzard to their core to the point they can't even pay attention to it. None of their projects in the last 20 years has been better than D2, and WoW classic outside of D2R and Classic Era 🤣
i dont understand why ppl play d2r when there is project diablo2 its like 1000 times better and it has all the QoL you ever wanted. ah yeah and no cheaters / no bots / no rmt / scammer dont exist because they insta get lifetime banned if they scam, ppl usually just throw the trade items on the ground when trading because there is no scamming in this mod and ppl just trust each other.
