Kristine Alicia is a Reggae singer/songwriter who was born in Jamaica and now resides in Florida. Kristine Alicia’s debut studio album, “Get Ready,” propelled her into the forefront of the Caribbean Gospel community, where she received 8 nominations at the 2009 Marlin Awards, where she took home both Artist of the Year and Female Reggae Vocal Performance. She continues boldly making music with a message; “music of freedom and elevation” as she describes it. Her latest album, “Songs from Zion,”is a “classic Roots Reggae album rich in inspirational messaging” which was released in February 2017. The album is experiencing widespread exposure on radio and early notoriety in magazines while also charting on iTunes top 10 and Billboard’s top 15 Reggae album charts.
Songs From Zion produced by RoryStoneLove received international attention as it received high praises from Reggaeville, Zona Reggae, Reggae Vibes, &The Jamaican Observer to name a few. The album also received a special review by John Masouri of Echoes Magazine where Kristine Alicia was also dubbed artist of the month. United Reggae also listed Songs From Zion in its list of Top 20 albums in 2017 at the end of the year.
Since her emergence, Kristine Alicia has performed nationally and internationally while producing singles which reflect her development as a person and as an artiste. Throughout this time of growth, Kristine Alicia has collaborated, opened for, and performed with artists the likes of Third World, Taurus Riley, Papa San, Etana, Nadine Sutherland, Warrior King, and Freddie McGregor. She has performed in the USA, Canada, Africa and in multiple Caribbean countries.

I hear ya Sis, I just want to encourage you to stay focused on Him. So many of the artists I used to listen to 10 years ago, who were so focused at one point, have all fallen away to social and political issues *(while still proclaiming Christ.)*
And I know our relationship with him goes thru those not so hot periods, but it has really broken my heart to see the cool off from some of these artist being so profound. It's obvious that their treasure has changed... 😢.
Anyway, stay encouraged Sis! And never forget... He is the answer today, tomorrow, and always.

Singing about topics that don’t have Christ in it is NOT falling away. Music is an art just like poetry and other things. Basic as well even when you speak as a Christ follow I’m sure every word that comes out of your mouth is not discussing a biblical issue. I’m sure as a well rounded person you speak about love and social justice and politics sometimes and education.... so that’s all I have to say about that. I commend you in your efforts of trying to correct me in love. ❤️🙏🏾

Sister I really appreciate your gracious response! My comment definitely wasn't a correction (there's nothing to correct), it was just encouragement.
I apologize for not communicating clearly. The type of artist I had in mind does not include any and every artist that emotes over things outside of the written Word. Artists aren't a monolith so every song doesn't have to be a praise song. The entire creation belongs to the Lord, so there's much to talk about. However, it's not hard to tell when an artist has grown cold.
It's not just because they're talking about other topics, it's the way they talk about other topics. Even in your scenario, if all I passionately talked about and posted on social media was BLM, and it had totally replaced my passion and eagerness to share Christ and the Gospel, I'm sure you would start to wonder if my focus had shifted. Especially if that change was also consistent in how I started to use my platform.
I feel like once we have renounced our citizenship in this kingdom for one far greater, every effort and energy within the platform Christ has given us is to be used to get them to Him, or back to Him. So here's my scenario...
If I'm in ICU unable to breath from COVID, and the doctor has the cure but keeps shoving cough syrup down my throat, something horrible is amiss. Either he doesn't really care about my recovery, or he doesn't have faith in the cure. Either way, something has went wrong.
So we *MUST* contextualize the Gospel by talking about politics and social issues... Christians always have. But the obsessive preoccupation with those things, in and of themselves, is a trend of the world. We, (having a greater commission than there's), should only discuss those things as a means to *HIS* end...

*No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him.*
The enemy is crafty. He will even use good things to get us away from the BEST THING. Let's not make the mistake of discussing band-aids when they're bleeding out from bullet wounds. Let's stay committed to discussing bandaids only if the end goal is to get them to the GREAT PHYSICIAN.
Again, I am not correcting anything from this video or song, as there's nothing to correct. But the Lord put it into my heart to share this with you.
