Thank you for your helpful content! I have a question though: will the crossdocking work find the put location where some of the shipment items is alreay put, because the other work, that belongs to the sales order is closed? Or will it work only then when the other work ist not yet closed? Normally the picking und put work for the on-hand items will be closed, the items of the shipment will be already put when the purchase order arrives a day or a weak later. I tried it and it did not work: I picked the on-hand items, closed the put work and the cross-docking later does not find this exact put location (there is no separate location directive, the x-docking template ist set to shipment location). All shipment items of the other work were put on the same location, so no ambiguity. Thank you!
So after complete cross docking work, the stock will be ready in put location to packing SO. If we post packing slip for SO now, is this the PO will be automatically received right?
Hi, have you been able to create cross docking work for items coming off the production line (Finished Goods PutAway)? This would be for a make-to-order scenario.
I have not tried that but my understanding it is possible. I think that has been around for a while. I'll take a look at it and maybe try to do a video on it in the future.
@@Scott-Gaines I recently tried it and got it to work. According to my understanding the previous cross docking was for transfer orders. This newest versions allow cross docking for Sales Picking when items are coming off the production line.
@@Nicky411 OK cool. I had in my mind that we were able to do it on production orders previously to this update, but it must have been transfer orders as you mention. Glad to hear you got it working.
@@Scott-Gaines I think it was for Production to Transfer Issue. I never used it myself, but read about it a few times. I am now using the Production to Sales Picking (Auto-Release) feature. Thanks for answering :)
Thank you are-Excellent

The PO was received through the mobile app first, and then we're able to see the work for marked SO line.
