It was at that moment I knew I was fucked. Like, don't say that to her NOW. My emotions were frigging destroyed after that.
I've realized that this starts playing when you are trying to guess who is Shin Tsukimi, and the fact that the song haves hints of "Not so, Sou" makes it seem like the music is trying to tell you "hey, it's obviously Sou! you only got to connect all the hints you have". The music of this game is really smart.

I was alluding to how this plays again (well, actually, it's seme-KS-ZN) when you take down the _real_ Sou.
The best way I can describe this game:
You are given twelve kittens to take care of. You raise them with love and support, and right as you're about to start teaching them tricks or whatever, the game shoots ten of them and makes you choose between the two remaining. Who lives and who dies.
The one that lives dies a chapter later.
That about sums it up

To me this is the pursuit ~ cornered of yttd. They both give a sense of desperation and panic of figuring something out yet retain a somewhat sense of smugness like as if you caught someone's lie.
It fits both. One is trying to expose a lie, the other is trying to hide it.
Would really fit for the last debate before finally defeating the floormaster and winning the game together
who knows? we might hear this in chapter 3 again but mashed with midori's theme which would make it even awesome :D

the sound of mechanical gears turning before the drop + not so, sou's beats mixed into the track + gears in the background being sou's hair color + this playing while figuring out shin tsukimi's identity = building up to the realization sou is shin. this game is fucking genius

Well, i remember thinking that seme (the slower alternative to this song) feels like "We will save everyone, we just need to think enough."
This one has the same intro, except it just feels way more erratic after the drop, like it's saying "It's over. Our last chance is gone. We have to think anyways. Anything that can win us some time is worth thinking about."
This song gives me the vibe of when you’re about to defeat a boss and then there’s a second phase but you’re on life support

Am I the only one who loves when I see pure emotion coming out of different characters?Like a sudden change of behaviour coming out of every single one of them.
Joe realizing that he will die,Kai deciding his own fate,Nao realizing that she won't win the game and leave along Sara,Kanna finally accepting her sister's death and sacrificing herself for everyone and the one whose sudden change of emotion was my favourite was Sou's,as he was trying to work with everyone so they'll survive the Main Game.All that desperation and determination to achieve a more hopeful outcome.I love this game so much!

The music intensifies as soon as you team up with Shin. Goddamnit
The song's name literally translates to "offense," but in kendo, refers to a type of psychological pressure applied to the uke, or defender. It's rather fitting that the song is called that, because it plays when Sara is actually on the offensive- she's coming close to actually dishing out some pain to the Floor Masters.
Writing a very convoluted YTTD theory with this theme on was sort of fun. 10/10, would do it again.
