      Part of that is because there are enough military pilots that are getting out and have the NVG, night flight time and low level experience to safely run Night ops.

    With this extreme heat all over the state we're in for some serious fires coming up, because idiots with fireworks won't give a rat's posterior that they need to leave those fire causing missiles in the packaging and wait for a different year. Be safe and have a pleasant 4th, Juan.

      @@superjeffstanton As a former firefighter, now retired, this is a possibility they won't talk about until there is hard evidence to support that conclusion. Firebugs love the publicity... But I think that there are indications of possible arson in the timing, frequency, and locations/topography of fire start locations. Some investigations are easy, a lawnmower sparked a 10 acre fire near me and was easily extinguished and cause determined same day. Some fires we will never know...

    I’m in California near the Sacramento area. I’ve lived here my whole life and have had to deal with the most biggest recent fires these last few years like the Dixie fire and the Paradise fire. This current heatwave is one of the fuel to the sparks and flames for all of these fires. My father always said that most of these fires were started by people which is a sad truth as a lot of fires are started by people in California. I pray that we stay safe this year and that they get these fires dealt with and put out. Good bless cal fire and our firefighters.

    • @josephoberlander
      @josephoberlander Месяц назад +2

      Thankfully, this will only last another decade or two as the climate changes and all of the forests convert to brush and desert. But, yes, it's going to be a rough 20 years or so for everyone in the entire northwestern U.S.

    • @PTANV-x2g

      Do people actually, really believe this nonsense?? Or do you post insanity like this just to get reactions from people?

    • @josephoberlander
      @josephoberlander Месяц назад +6

      @@PTANV-x2g If you look at the pictures of the area, the trees are all super dry and dying back. Eventually the climate will revert to something more like you see in Southern California. Definitely by 100 years from now. Which means that all of these forests are going to be kindling and just need to be cut back as much as possible when they start dying back. We saw this with the forest fires a decade ago in the Angeles Forest. What grew back was much smaller and more sparse than before. You can even see this in the larger views of this fire - there are patches where there's no forest any more. Just brush and grass.
      One of the main issues is that the state and the government are at odds as to how to manage the forests, with the state being understandably more proactive about it.

    • @PTANV-x2g
      @PTANV-x2g Месяц назад

      🤣🤣 imagine being this ignorant. Forests do not grow back in ten years! The various types of very large trees that make up the forests covering the sierras take many DECADES to grow back to substantial heights and tree densities again. Large burn scars do remain barren for many, many years because it takes a LONG long time for trees to grow back. That is the natural process and has been for as long as trees have existed on this planet.
      It’s amazing how ignorant so many of you alarmists are on these subjects, yet you keep spewing out pure garbage anyway.

The fire could have been in another State based on the poor reporting. They actually had a reporter on location who only knew the name of the fire and how many acres burned.
    Might as well have said “I’m on location at the fire itself. Turns out it was in my backyard. I’m calling it the BarBQ fire. Back to you in the studio.”

    The developer of these towns has an option to put a block wide private buffer between the public forest and the dense suburban housing and the association regulates the tree density in the development. The tree density is not that high in the dense suburb, but they actually created clumps in probably parks and they built right to the edge of the public forest with the knowledge it is not if but when that forest burns to the ground in the heat of summer. There is less dense suburb into the woods also, there should not be continuous housing and woods to the dense suburb, it is a private development and what happens was a private decision. I suspect the houses are wood sided with non-metal/ceramic roofs and will burn to the ground if there is a raging fire adjacent to it.

      Wildfires of the magnitude frequently seen today weren’t even a consideration back in the day when Oroville was seeing development. Butte County is overall a lot of densely forested area with limited employment options and not a lot of financial resources. People generally live simple, small town “country” lives. A lot of history up there and some good folks but not a lot else is going on in Oroville. The news of this fire is particularly sad and unfortunate.

    I wonder if those night dropping helicopters are part of one of the northern fire authorities or if Orange County has lent them again. During the Tahoe fire OCFA sent several night droppers including our chartered Chinook tanker which was then brand new.
    There were communication problems on that occasion, so they sat idle for days trying to convince someone in charge to make use of them.
    But I'm sure that kink in the system was has been discussed and improved by now.

    I hope that the critical control systems for the dam are resistant to this wildfire. We are past the flood season but having the dam stop working would be a problem.

    Dear Lord, please protect everyone in the path of this fire, as well as those brave souls fighting this inferno.

      Foolishness. If you believe praying works, why aren’t you praying for this supposed “lord” to stop these fires in the first place? Among other things that would be far better to pray for than singular events.

      Should God have stopped His perfect Son, Jesus, from being beaten and murdered on the cross too?

      @robinc4605 Do you have any proof for any of that that doesn’t come from a book also written by man?

      You didn't answer my question. The Bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit and was transcribed by man. Nowhere does God put the burden of proof, on followers, to prove The Bible, the existence of Heaven or Hell etc., or even that Jesus, died on the cross, for that matter. Jesus Himself, proved He existed, when He came to Earth, to live and then die as a sacrifice for the sins of humanity. THEN Christ, rose up from the dead and into Heaven, but not before visiting a few friends on the way. Read the Bible for yourself and you will find all I say to be right there, in God's Holy Word!

      Your question is meaningless. There is no proof or even evidence for the existence of any of what you speak of besides the written words of man. YOU believe they were transcribed by man of the word of god, because these writings by man told you to believe that, without evidence. The source of your faith is the words of man, telling you to believe they are not the words of man. It’s a vicious cycle of meaningless faith that the truly enlightened see through immediately.

    hi
    Great update. You people need to think of the Bombardier water bomber. With the dam and water source right there probably looking at less than 15 minute cycle time. The plane is a pilot plane which you fly by your seat. The left cheek is for landing and the right cheek is for takeoff.
    The waterbomber pays it way in Canada & Europe and recently in Labrador saving the city
