@@perihelion7445 Never played the Amiga version? The intro even says “Get ready for Cross Out”.
@@SlapshotFS I played the C64 version a lot more than the Amiga version, that's not to say I shouldn't have realised as per the Intro but there were so many "back ups" back then to play that it probably escaped me ;)
Slight segway, I remember when there was a debate raging quite some time ago about how to say Psygnosis as either SIG-nosis or SIGH-gnosis.
The answer laid easily in the game Blood Money, in it's intro it states SIGH-gnosis. Riddle solved.
This is how you do a remaster, facelift of the graphics without compremising the original assets. A fresh look for the weapon system which helps greatly.
A new set of tunes by the original composer, what more can you ask for.
A great way to introduce people of todays gaming to what made 8 and 16 bit games so special.
Hope they do more 👍

Well I'll be stuffed! I NEVER thought I'd see a remake of X-Out. It's one of my favourite shootem-ups on the C64 and Amiga, it always has been since the day it came out :)

I have really been getting into the A500 mini in a big way and have this game on that.
I remember playing it back in the day but never got very far.
That is so amazing that it is getting a rerelease that doesn’t disrespect the wonderful Amiga artwork or soundtrack of that original.
I can tell these devs have immense respect for the source material.
Can’t wait to play the new version.
Yeah if you loved the Amiga original I dont think you'll be disappointed

I played this a lot back then as a kid on my C64. It still is one of my favorite Shoot'em ups today and of course I already pre-ordered the physical edition for Playstation.

Cheers , i played a almost 95% complete version for the video but there were still lots of little tweaks and options to be added so it may be in the final version 👍

@@BastichB64K Hehe yea, but i can live with the J.J.Verse Lance Flares as Movies are a passive Media, but in an Active one like Gaming i think this overuse of Glow and Particle Effect distrect from whats going on.

Tempted to pre-order, but old school shmups are just too hard for me now. Frustrating, not fun, because I don’t have hours to “practice”. I may wait to see if people think it’s too hard
I think for difficulty I'd say its mid , easier than the original
