    Tip 1: when you have a new suit unlocked, go back to an earlier mission (Dir 1 preferred) to get a good feel if you want to use it or not. avoid spending capital unnecessarily until Dir 3/4. its a good way to build friendship too.
    Tip 2: 2C True (2 bosses) and 3C break (chests) is a good early farming spot to hit lv 15-20 ish. after that Dir 4 have better yield.
    Tip 3: you'll be swimming in Tier 1 uncap material by late Chapter 4 so start making future plans and investments. you'll want 1 suit of each type once you hit Chapter 5 (and earning Tier 2 uncap materials)
    Tip 4: Alex is surprisingly good for money runs with the right skill setup. SP is a buff so all you need is to punch or vulcan each target once to receive red capital drops. highly recommended to invest in once your main is maxed.
    Tip 5: open a room if you're struggling. you might get unexpected help.
    Tip 6: learn to Perfect Block. counterattacks deals insane damage to boss' stamina gauge.

      You can go to free tutorial to test out new units. That way you can also test out things like combo potential without worrying about the enemy dying too fast.

    • @RainStorm148
      @RainStorm148 2 года назад +4

      @@Doomerang01 that works too, but i would rather give the ai some exp (they're dying too fast right now), build friendship level and preferably hunt down blueprints along the way.
      grunts die too fast, that is true. but on the other side of the spectrum, bosses need to be staggered for you to do long combos though.
      and usually what happens is you drop it and then the boss recovered his entire stagger gauge.

    As for those struggling with combat during or after directory 4: make sure to choose a mobile suit that’s an all rounder or sharpshooter like the gusion rebake full city or even the alex to make it easier on the mobile armors. As for capital early: once you reach the break version of the Kilimanjaro map (Directory 4) farm it as much as you could since it drops rank 3 parts and if you destroy the enemies before you destroy the antenna’s an extra crate will drop with even more capital and equipping the lucky skill while defeating enemies with a role action will make you a bunch more!

    • @lunaria3710

      funny enough i started to use gusion a lot more cause of how good he is, one bad part bout it is the SPA need to be at VEEERY close range to activate but other than that a solid good ms specially vs big annoying Mobile Armor with beam shields

  • @Hedoro_Latoureux
    @Hedoro_Latoureux 2 года назад +17

    It goes without saying but Grandpa (RX-78 Gundam) is a pretty easy and reliable All Rounder if you're struggling to find a decent suit, slap some ranged damage up on it you have an excellent ranged poke in the beam rifle and very good burst damage with the Hyper Bazooka and the Bazooka Barrage SPA. The main downside of Grandpa however is the low amount of Repair Kits and relatively low defence.
    Also if you're doing the chaos mission in "Over the River and Through the Woods", go into the river to find F91.

  • @justinschuster666

    Man, probably the biggest beginner tip I can say as a rando is, after directory 4, commit to a MS for awhile. Capital becomes a massive bottlenecking factor, and if you're splitting up your resources between multiple MS, progression becomes ridiculously slow.
    Slight spoilers, the main game expects you to be around level 50 for the final mission which takes a grand total of 2m capital for one MS, and while your stats don't change an incredible amount from, say, 30 to 50, you take massively more damage and deal massively less the further you are under your enemies regardless of stats. For the post game, you immediately have access to level 51-80 missions, and if you run 7B(True) on Hard which you can easily do even at level 50, you get over 450k capital (and even more if running a MS like Alex) per 10-15 minutes to quickly level up and finally get your collection of other MS up and running

    The best beginning unit for me was exia repair 2, then 00 raiser, and late game 00 qanT. best skills are quick guard, rescuer, medic and role action star/meter master depending on if I wanna focus on having high stats or recover repair kits. Late game you gotta look for a part that has all attacks are physical type so you can just pass through i-fields. I don't think the boost cost pilot skills are useful late-game as you can opt to chain break instead.

    Few questions: 1. Is damage cut rate how tanky a MS is or how much defense it has? 2. Is offensive better or defensive? 3. With so many MS to choose from do you play your favorite or one you enjoy the most, or do you play whichever one is the best? Is there even best MS? Thank you to all who reply in advance.

    • @NewtypeSeiji
      @NewtypeSeiji  2 года назад +3

      1) Damage cut rate I believe refers to defence or resistance to a certain damage type. That's why it's listed as beam melee, beam ranged, physical melee, or physical ranged.
      2) Really depends on the suit you're using and how you want to build it, there's no right answer here!
      3) I personally try out any suits I think are interesting in free tutorial or low level missions and from there decide whether I want to invest in levelling them up.

    If you are using a melee MS, what tips do you have for fighting bosses? I see some mobile tanks are really difficult to fight against. I don’t understand the balance bar below the bosses: I know once you break it you can do launch them and do air combos. I don’t understand how perfect guard works. Thanks for the tips in this video though.

    • @NewtypeSeiji
      @NewtypeSeiji  2 года назад +3

      I'll be honest I mainly play a sharpshooter because I find meleeing bosses isn't really worth the trouble. If you're gonna do it I would go with an infighter because they have more health and their role action prevents you from staggering during its duration. The boss's balance bar goes down a LOT right after they attack, so you wanna aim for that moment to damage them to try and break it (usually your subweapons are the best options for this). For perfect guard, if you land one when a boss melees you their balancer meter immediately breaks.

    • @NewtypeSeiji
      @NewtypeSeiji  2 года назад +2

      @@EternityEnd You wanna play around your role action as a sharpshooter because it refills all your weapons instantly. When I'm fighting regular enemies I'll use my main and subweapons but also mix in melee so I have time to reload. When I'm fighting against bosses I like to spam my subweapons back to back when the balancer meter is low until they're empty or the boss breaks, then combo the boss, then use role action to refill all my ammo.

    Even though Autoguard might be an easy way of defending yourself, I would vote against using it. Yes, it might safe your life one or two times, but I reccomend forgetting you got it the moment you unlock it and try to get a feel for manual guarding asap. Yes, new people will fail in the beginning, like with all new skills to learn, but when you get a feel for using guard yourself asap, the advantages over autoguard will rack up way faster and be so much more rewarding, like getting perfect guards and even counters on bosses, for instance. Autoguard are nice practise wheels, but the sooner you learn how to guard, the better in this game. It makes the experience so much more rewarding.

    Guys I have some questions:
    1 - Do I need to farm for companions units? If my companion uses the Guncannon, should I spend Capital to increse its level?
    2 - I don't understand WHEN I could use Chain Breakers and Role Actions. In the tutorials it says only HOW to use it, but there is no counter in the HUD. They are unlimited? The are linked to the thrusters?
    3 - The GR logo in the HUD it's only for decoration or there's more?
    Thanks for your answers!

    • @NewtypeSeiji
      @NewtypeSeiji  2 года назад +3

      1) Any time you unlock a suit from blueprints you're able to use it as a partner. Spending capital is only to level it up for when YOU use it.
      2) There's a blue bar under your health, that bar is for both your role action and chain breaker.
      3) The GR logo is for your partners and indicates that you're getting alliance benefits from them. If a partner dies, one side of the logo will stop lighting up.

    • @NewtypeSeiji
      @NewtypeSeiji  2 года назад

      You can't take the capital off him and put it into another suit, you get points specific to Command so that if you want to reallocate your stats you can do so. But once you use the capital on a suit it's spent.
