The ironi im from Ez neighborhood and moving to texas. Man said a loaf of bread was 15cent 😂 he'd lose his mind about todays prices. I remember in the 80s/90s it was less than a dollar. We had a community back then even in the mist of Dope n Gangs. Cant wait to leave. Thanks for the movie definitely a fav was just thinkin about it.
Well said man. I’m a couple decades older than you and bread was 19cents a loaf when I was a child. But, as you stated…we still had a community back then despite the gangs, hustlers and dealers. And everyone showed respect to the “Elders” no matter what their lifestyle was…
@ToniDuke-s7k that part! 💯 I remember folks having shame. If u was smoking or had a sip and the elders was coming, you put it in the tuck and spoke had a lil exchange and greeting. When they left the festivities resumed. Im 42 I still say yes ma'am no sir and so on. It was not just what ya did but how u did things. Gotta bring that back.
@ Yeah, I remember that man. I will soon be 67. My family owned a night club back in the day. So, I was raised in “The Game”. But…respect for your “Elders” and everyone else was very important. It just the way things were… Truthfully, I left California and America a few years ago. After visiting a few countries I settled in Southeast Asia. They still live by the rules of respect and honor. And their societies are not perfect over here but it’s a lot better than the situation I left behind.
@ToniDuke-s7k wow man that give me hope. 42 my kids grown retired army. Im bout ready to catch air and see some other locations. California is over. You left in good timing. 💯

A lot of time without audio. Two so far & I’m only 12 minutes into the movie. 😏
Thankfully just one more. I wonder what I missed. Enjoyed it, though. Thanks.
