Sheriff Jim Cooper for governor in 2026. It is time California have someone who understand that public safety is important and who will stand up to the corrupt academics, Soros family and others pushing nonsense like prop 47, 57 and ab 109!
Another thing to take note of about California's drive to empty out the prisons was that the Governor had planned to close both San Quentin and the Folsom prison complex for the same reason he closed and sold the sprawling mental hospital and care facility in Sonoma. All the properties are on prime land and backroom deals have been cut with developers for the rights to the sale. The Eldridge facility is in Wine country and San Quentin is prime waterfront acreage in Marin county. The Folsom complex sits on prime Sacramento land. These are not moves made for public safety or to ease the burden of incarceration. It was about the land these prisons sit on. I live next door to criminals. They don't get put in jails and if they do, they don't stay very long. They are laughing at the Sheriff's Dept. and the neighborhood. They know almost nothing will be done for their bad behavior and we are just stuck with them. They basically have more rights than the average person.
I get it. I left Cali and Sacramento, ca almost 7 yrs ago to come back down south where my family is from, because where I lived in Sac and then Rancho Cordova, gang members ( especially the Nortenos) were lining the Sacsheriff's and Rancho Pd's pockets to play and get away with crimes.I dated an officer when going to law school so I knew alot and having your law enforcement exempt and judges made it so easy to skew lines . When we stopped seeing each other, he harassed and had a gang member stalk, break in, rob and rape me. when I called 911 they made fun of me , met me at a gas station on folsom blvd and his buddies as I was bleeding and crying took photos of me in 2017. I'd like those actually Jim Cooper now you're the boss. And left me to die in a tshirt and underwear at the gas station on folsom blvd next the the Tumbleweed. it's not there anymore but you can ask Officer Fry, he knows , he covered it allll up. Don't think they will stop the "pay to play" Some of the dirtiest officer's in the country are in California. Good luck though.
Christmas Eve 2023 I went to Walgreens to grab some pictures my wife had developed and there were a group of young men smoking meth, fentanyl, heroin I really don’t know but they were smoking off foil and inhaling the smoke with a straw literally 10’ from the freakin front door of the store. That was Walgreens on the corner of Antelope and Sunrise in Citrus Heights. Thanksgiving Eve 2022 I saw a guy race out of the Roseville Raleys just a mile or so away from the Walgreens with a cart full of steaks and liquor. It’s a shame.
SHERIFF JIM COOPER FOR GOVERNOR! California needs a governor who understands crime and who won't bow to the academics pushing for nonsense like putting 20 year old adults in juvenile court.
Cath and release was driving out taxpayers harming the budget. Getting tough on retail theft and pushing people into mandatory treatment will hopefully change California's reputation and you can get some of the people who fled back.
At least voters corrected corse--two woke DA's voted out. Two woke mayors voted out. 5 woke termed limited state assembly democrats replaced with tough on crime centrist democrats, prop 36 passing by 71% and Trump over performing in the state in part due to the reputation of Kamala's hometown (which replaced their mayor by the way since they are fed up with what has happened there). It will be a long road and their will be steps back but have some faith in Californians as they do have standards.

Target better work with Sheriff Jim Cooper when he does retail theft stings because they begged for his help and then put all kinds of terms and conditions on the deputies. These retailers all need to man up, bring back hands tackle and cuff on loss prevention like Winco, Macy's and Nordstrum have and work closely with law enforcement for the safety of their stores.
Throw Gavin in Prison

California is done with these criminals. Law and order🙏❤️🇺🇸
You mean billions in higher taxes.

Thank you for the perspective, I have never thought of the prisons and incarceration in the term,s of real state sale.
San Quentin land was deemed uninhabitable years ago. That's why it's still around

When Newsom runs for president, remember that he didn’t want Prop 36 to pass in CA

Good ! When does Prop 36 take effect ? Is it immediately after passed ?
So glad I left that state.
New prisons on the way the tax payer won’t mind
They just have to reopen up the ones they closed
Newsom just closed 3 prisons. We'll just open em back up
