The bottom layer, often referred to as "the buff," is the thickest and is engineered with robust rubber scraps to provide superior shock absorption. This layer is mixed on-site with a binding material, expertly troweled out, and takes approximately 48 hours to set. The top layer, composed of finer EPDM particles, offers a customizable color palette to choose from. This layer not only enhances safety but also adds a vibrant touch to the playground. It, too, requires around 48 hours to set.
🌿 Our childcare center project features a captivating green top layer with a striking black track surrounding the perimeter. Both colored layers are meticulously applied to create a seamless, low-maintenance surface, capable of withstanding years of active play and protecting children from falls of up to 12 feet!
🏟️ Our second project takes us to a high school soccer stadium, where precision and artistry are at the forefront. The school sought to make a statement at its main entrance, and with AAA State of Play, they've achieved just that. The ground is carefully leveled and prepared, followed by the application of crushed stone.
🎨 The base, or "the buff," is mixed and applied, featuring excellent shock absorption properties. After a few days, it's time for the top layer, which includes the school's logo. Our skilled team takes precise measurements, demonstrating artistry and craftsmanship at its best. The top EPDM layer, with finer rubber particles, is skillfully applied to create a pristine white surface.
