Al Jaz is Hamas's mouthpiece. Obviously, you won't get an unbiased or accurate perspective, but these are great headlines to discuss down the pub or after prayers.
The only reason that Israel is stopping international journalist into Gaza is because they don't want the truth of the war crimes they are committing to get out. Well those crimes are being reported anyway but we know that there are thousands more that aren't reported.

The rudeness of British journalists is unbearable. Rude, agressive and argumentative. No way to give a reasonable interview to British journalists. They are very respectful and friendly even while disagreeing.

Israel won’t want anymore journalists to die or be accused of killing more of them. The media complains they aren’t being granted access but at the same time criticize so many have died.
You're a sucker for Israeli lies if you believe that. There is such a thing as war correspondents and most have film crews. It is what they do and they want to cover Gaza. They give an independent accounts of action on the ground and professional assessment of what they see and hear. Israel, by banning them, can then dictate the narrative to suit its own agenda. Surely you can see the that. How are we to get to the truth with only one side of the story? This conflict has a long and complicated history. Israeli expansion is central to it and Gaza (and the West Bank) are part of that.

In any war active war zone, it's impossible to give anywhere near accurate numbers of civilian casualties. Assessing the combatant casualties is easier because you have the corpses of the dead opponents as well as your own.
Pulling a number out of thin air to satisfy some headline serves no purpose.

I'd like to see journalists not accompanied by IDF go to the "safe" zones and see the wonderful conditions and great food and medical supplies that are being provided to the refugees.
I'm sure the IDF will say that the safe zones aren't safe.
Nowhere in Gaza is safe because Hamas hides behind women & children & operates out of schools mosques & hospitals in contravention of the Geneva Convention. However by getting the local population to move the IDF is able to destroy the tunnels & infrastructure that Hamas has built over the last few decades along with any terrorists hiding there. Eventually Hamas will have nowhere to hide but amongst its own people who will have a choice; give them up or endure being moved around as they clean up Gaza.

I see no reason why Israel needs to allow press and risk their troops' lives in trying to protect that press. Hamas has enough foreign relations and there is access via Egypt...so press can call up Hamas for an invitation to Gaza and enter via Egypt. Or via the US humanitarian peer.

If the IDF taps enemy chatter, it can easily identify when a target was killed, as people will talk about their structure and restructuring as a result of the missing personnel. The enemy comms won't discuss how many uninvolved died in the attack because it poses no strategic importance worth discussion. When a shooter in a residential building gets blasted remotely, the IDF can count him as an eliminated combatant without going in and counting civilians.
A military can count military targets, how shocking. And when the enemy itself doesn't know how many civilians died for certainty, how is the IDF supposed to know it?

I always said that Israel has the right to defend itself, as does any other country. I also understand Israel's determination to eliminate Hamas, or at least to nullify its ability to operate militarily. However, I don't really understand why Israel had to smash Gaza to bits, using heavyweight bunker busting 2,000 lb bombs in heavily populated areas? Why has Israel conducted its military operations, 'Russia style' instead of using a more surgical western style of military ops?

They deliberately killed british aid workers, in marked vehicles in two separate strikes in the space of minutes. Then they dont allow any journalists in and expect us to trust the words of the idf, who are the very ones killing the civilians. I am an Egyptian, here is the answer:
- the regime does not trust Hamas as it’s part of Muslims brotherhood and the regime thinks they are a threat to them.
- Egypt is under huge economic pressure and the USA is putting huge pressure on Egypt to get any loans or funding from international entities like the IMF, in the same time the regime think that if they allowed Palestinians inside Sinai that Israel will not allow them back like what happened back 1948.
To cut it short. There are lot of factors that control the situation and the regime does not reflect what the Egyptian people well.
Why must Palestinians leave their country? The last time they did they were not allowed to return.
