I loved it….i seen it preview day at 3:45pm and it was sold out. The whole crowd freaked out when they revealed the….ya know…I thought the young cast was gonna suck but they were good especially Rain and Andy. Andy was the man
I'm so happy Disney allowed something as bonkers as this go to theaters first (the fact they also allowed The First Omen in theaters early this year was great too). I liked it but didn't love it. I was mostly okay with the references except for the 2 most explicit ones: THAT one liner and using CGI to bring back a dead actors likeness for the corporate synthetic. The kills were fine but I loved how satisfying one of the kills was to watch. I appreciate how the decisions that were made weren't anywhere near as dumb as those from the prequel movie. That third act sealed this entry as the third best in the trilogy along with the performance of Andy's actor. Production value really killed it too, esp. with the lower budget it was dealing with
Rook's voice was an actor it AI. The wanted the family to okay his likeness for a damaged android (like what they used for Bishop in Alien3) the family then played the cgi "mask" as the animatronic likeness didn't work on camera It wasn't supposed to be chi which is why it looked so off. it was rushed. Love the vids, Mike. A rare genuine reactor.
It definitely felt a little weird. I thought they could've done so much better with that. I also had a feeling that's where they were going when you couldn't see the the face when the android grabbed Rain. I figured they wanted to do some kind of reveal.
@@OnMyMindEntertainment given the gap of time a deaged Bishop model also would have worked and skipped the controversial aspect of using the likeness of a passed on actor. Less Grand Moff from Rouge One and more Luke from Mando fibes.
I enjoyed it, but I have one nit-pick, and that's in the speed of the whole gestation process happens. The first 4 movies established that the process of impregnation takes at least a few hours, and afterwards, Chestburster development takes at least a few hours more, and then it takes about another hour for the Chestburster to fully grow into an adult Xenomorph. But in all the movies post Resurrection, the whole process can happen in a course of, like, 5-10 minutes. It's just feels so... unnaturally rushed, beyond the suspicion of disbelief.
Yeah, It felt way to fast. It took some of the dread and tension away for me knowing that the xenomorph was coming so quickly. I'd rather have a little bit of a slow burn towards that, similar to the 1st movie.
I’m 33, but was homeschooled my entire school career and personally loved it. I have kids now, both too young for school yet, but I’m curious, would you mind sharing what factor prompted you to out them in school after years of homeschooling? I’m always curious to see what people consider.

I think the last 20 mins is hit or miss with most of the audience. I wish it was scarier, but overall, it's pretty good.

I don't think so. Alamo Drafhouse, another theater here in TX got bought by Sony.
