Quite possiby the greatest guitar solo I have ever heard, since '95...worthy of Dean Deleo & Kim Thayil. With this and the orginal NFS, EA Canada were on fire.
I contacted Jeff Van Dyck (the composer) on here over 10 years ago on here telling him how incredible his music on this game was/is and how it impacted my childhood and he responded providing links to download the songs. Still a killer today. Awesome 👌
Oh my God man, you're awesome for posting this! Still remember fiddling with my old Windows 95 486DX4-100MHz IBM Clone to get this game going and eventually get the sound working too. Once I did though, man was it a treat. I've still got the CD and will go back once in a while for a game via DosBox. The Original Guitar & Music production was just awesome. While the NHL Series is still really good, EA has lost so much of the "coolness" of its games in their relentless pursuit of profits...
Chris Yeah it's so easy to forget now just how cool EA was in the MegaDrive and Saturn years...in fact for most of the 90's the output, production values & especially music was legitimately awesome. Then, as with many things, it went to shit in this charming new millennium.
Wish I had this version of NHL 96 too, I had it on the MegaDrive and loved it so much, the music on that was great too but I love this tune, the guitar riff and solo is sick!!

This and NHL97 were the best soundtracks of any game ever. Still moshing today to this in my 40's.

@08WSChamps This was the music from the PC version, not any of the consoles. This version was my favorite of all of them for that year.
