The Problem for Evangelical Christians as I see it is twofold. From a moral perspective neither of the major parties seems to have anything resembling Christian values anymore, it used to be a Christian could make clear moral decisions as to why they supported whichever party and those decisions could be quite diverse depending on what moral priorities an individual might have. However, both parties seem to have abandoned either moral conservative values (the right) or genuine social justice for the regular population (the left). Secondly if a Christian is not to vote based upon moral conviction then surely it would be based upon the desire to see our nation recover economically and again, neither party have any genuine interest in seeing that happen for the regular working or middle class
