Is it just me or do I keep hearing "emotional depots" when you're talking about the dimensional depots? haha Great builds! Looking forward to seeing this series continue.
personally i chose to make industrial storage container with a DD on top and connect the upper hole directly with a conveyor lift to the DD and then continuing the production line the stuff goes through by the lower hole and it will ultimately accumulate there and thus have bunch ready to enter into the DD and to your remote storage that way... also if you need better upload speed it might be cheaper to go with the option of a splitter and a second DD taking in items that you need the extra speed on... like for example having it on industrial beams or some other material you end up using a shit ton in relatively short time... so as long as you dont need more than the price for the next upgrade worth of extra containers for the fast use resources its cheaper to use the splitter method. on a side note when i build on top of water my go to move is to actually build the foundations slightly under water... i dont know what it is but for some reason i like it...
nice, i did the same later for concrete and a few items i need at a higher rate so i can build longer and faster. and water floor? that sounds awesome.
Tomorrow is my day off and I'll be revamping my starter base as well. I made a massive platform above my initial base full of foundations thats like a mile wide lol. Ive got 4 conveyers running to it with iron ore and also a good amount of power being ran far away. Ive got a ton of resources to create a good factory. Gonna run coal to it for steel as well. Can't wait to go hard on it. I havent unlocked oil stuff yet.

Bro love your videos and shorts! great work
thanks. i appreciate that.
9:38 your problem hooking up your containers is because your BELT MODE is on "Straight". Put it in "Default" and it will work.
good point, thank you.
