    Why we are selecting 5 gm weight for repeatability test on analytical Balance? Plz tell me about this sir.🙏

    • @PharmaPill
      @PharmaPill  2 года назад

      Just check is it 5% of your balance capacity? If answer is yes then you have selected this weight based on the European Pharmacopeia. As per EP to carry out Repeatability test, weight should be in lower end and should not more than 5% of balance capacity.

    For rough top pan balance for monthly verification is only accuracy enough or we need to perform repeatability also..

    • @PharmaPill
      @PharmaPill  2 года назад +1

      As per European pharmacopeia Repeatability and Sensitivity.
      As per USP All 5 parameters required.

    How to find minimum load of balance?

    • @bhuvip9204

      Ok but my question is to find SD u have to do repeatability. So while performing repeatability how many gm weight should I use? If i have 220gm balance..than how will I know what weight should i use for repeatability to get SD. Please do reply. Thanks

    Sir, For accuracy test only weight shall be use for calibration or all weights shall be use for calibration?

    • @PharmaPill
      @PharmaPill  2 года назад

      Only one test weight is taken for accuracy test. Generally between 5 to 100 % of balance capacity weight is taken.

    • @ajitjadhav607
      @ajitjadhav607 2 года назад

      Sir as per accuracy formula, if observed weight will get higher value than certified value then calculation results get in minus value, how we can write final results (limit is NMT 0.10 %)

    • @ajitjadhav607
      @ajitjadhav607 Год назад

      Hello sir,
      Hope you are doing well.
      Let me know that a statement given in accuracy parameter that ' the test weight's max. Permissible error (mpe), or alternatively it's calibration uncertainty shall be NMT one third of applied test limit of the accuracy limit. Plz explain .

    Sir, if i perform repeatability parameter as per monthly calibration then there may be possibility of changes in SD every time. In this case how we can find out smallest net weight of balance ?

    • @PharmaPill
      @PharmaPill  2 года назад

      Smallest net weight need to change based on your monthly Repeatability test calibration. But ideally you will see there will not be much change in smallest net weight because most of the time your SD will be less that 0.41 d

    • @ajitjadhav607
      @ajitjadhav607 2 года назад +4

      Ok sir.
      i have a 5 digit semi micro balance with range of 1 mg to 200 gm. As per USP chapter we can calculate smallest net weight by using formula 2000 x 0.41d i.e. 2000 x 0.41 x 0.00001 = 8.2 mg.
      Then can i weight below 8.2 mg for any HPLC analysis.
      Most of the times we have very less quantity of CRS or Impurity standard so In this case, can we weight below 8.2 mg for HPLC or other analysis preparation?

    • @PharmaPill
      @PharmaPill  2 года назад +1

      @@ajitjadhav607 excellent Question. Don’t use for weighing below 8.2 mg. You should use ultra micro balance or micro balance.

    Please explaine, In repeatability there is one note that is 'The test weight must be within the balances capacity, but the weight need not be calibrated.'

    • @PharmaPill

      Hello sir, Hope you are doing well.
      Sir let me explain below;
      Repeatability formula = 2000 x SD / Smallest net weight
      Repeatability= 2000 x SD x 100 / smallest net weight
      Which one is correct and how ?
