The thing I find interesting about Labyrinth Zone to be so poorly received is that people don't seem to be able to appreciate the intricacies of it. The music is amazing (and you've made an amazing mix to boot!) and the level's so full and alive with all sorts of different things that it's genuinely a wonderful place that I'd love to see and hate to get lost in. I wish more people could try a little harder to appreciate Labyrinth Zone.
I honestly really like the theme and aesthetic of labyrinth, music is is pretty good too. I think those are the things that honestly makes me like this zone more than marble.

I think the reason they made this song so Happy and Good vibe filled was cuz the level was guaranteed to inspire Pure Malice and the song was there to keep players Mellowed out regardless of all that though God I love ya Tee your remixes make my day Every time xD

Listening to this caused me to realize just how good the melody to Labyrinth Zone actually is. There truly is no "bad" music in Sonic 1.
