I absolutely appreciate and love how honest you are!!! I have never had a good meal from one of those trays. Edible? Yes. Good? No. Canned soup is the way to go for shelf stable. Although, some of the uncle Ben’s pouches of rice are pretty good… I don’t like spicy foods much so I wouldn’t get this anyway. It also doesn’t look like much food?
I appreciate that you mentioned the high salt content, all these processed foods have tons of salt & of course that is very unhealthy. i make a homemade rice & bean bowl with veggies. it tastes great with very little sodium.

I knew the texture was horrible when you were stirring it. The rice seizes up! 😂 I’m passing on this one. Thanks for the review Kevin.
Shelf stable is difficult. The only good ones I’ve had are the Indian ones… Palak and Maya Kaimal are excellent over something. The shelf stable rice on its own it good as well.
These would be better with a boil in bag cooking method.
