I think Kurt wasnt used to have to share anything before Blaine got to NY, I mean remember season 3 when Kurt said that Blaine didn't know how it was to be his boyfriend, so when Kurt was in NYC he got the attention he wanted to
People say this was out of character, but it really wasn't. Blaine was always very emotionally needy, impulsive, maybe even reckless; hell, he serenated a guy he barely knew and thought he might not be gay just because he wasn't grossed out by Rachel's mouth. He always thought bigger was better and was never shy about his feelings, which made him extremely vulnerable. Kurt, on the other hand, was always somewhat cold and not as clingy as Blaine, mainly, I think, because of the jealousy he had towards all the attention Blaine seemed to get effortlessly. Time and again, it was shown Blaine, more often than not, was too much for Kurt, and Kurt wasn't nearly as over-the-top affectionate as Blaine wanted him to be. I've always thought that, while they do love each other, they would've never worked out, because they wanted, maybe even needed different things from each other.
how is it that this is exactly what i feel but i couldn't have presented it so well. it's like i feel so passionate about them that my emotions jumble by cognitive functions. i just FEEL :( i used to love kurt but looking back im not sure what i saw in him. i liked the ice queen facade but it wasn't really a facade. i suppose i idealized him being very vulnerable and affectionate. with blaine i love how over the top and affectionate he is and i think he deserves all the attention he gets. i prefer Blaine's negative traits to kurts. after their first break up, i felt so bad for Blaine that i couldn't enjoy the show. i hated how his happiness/unhappiness was focused on kurt. there was large parts where i felt like blaine was the only one trying.
That look Blaine gave at 2:37 after Kurt said that they needed to breakup before they completely hated each other says it all. "It's a little late for that"
Blaine always asked how he could change for Kurt. Asking, was it something I did tells us Blaine was ready to change for Kurt but Kurt had poor communication skills.
Oh god Darren is a brilliant actor, you can see his emotions very well through his face, his eyes, his voice... i really cried when i first watched this scene, blaine was trying so hard to make things fine, he planned for the wedding and he was excited about the fact that they're getting married, his crying face really broke my heart. Kurt said things he didn't even mean and he regretted it, but it was too late.
The thing that really surprises me is how quickly everyone is willing to rush to Blaine's defense. Blaine was clingy and insecure, so Kurt was the outlet he sought after. This was the partial cause of Blaine cheating on Kurt and placing the blame on him for moving to New York. Blaine wasn't stable enough to be away from Kurt, which just shows that he was overly reliant on him. Because of this, the relationship gradually became unhealthy. With what Blaine had sacrificed to be with Kurt, he no longer had anybody else to rely on (with the exception of Kurt himself). With that being said, Kurt felt that he was getting the shorter end of the relationship (as shown when he accused Blaine of not praising him enough), and Blaine did not feel that he was receiving enough affection from Kurt. They're two lovers who weren't fulfilling enough to each other's needs, which is why they needed to slow down and take a break. Kurt's prevention of the wedding was what could have saved their relationship from becoming dysfunctional and toxic. If he didn't put that distance between them, Blaine would end up growing more and more reliant on Kurt to the point where their quarrels would be more violent and damaging. Blaine's clinginess had escalated to the extent that if one ever left the other, it would utterly destroy him. So really, Kurt made the right decision. Am I saying that everything about Kurt's logic was perfect? No, but it is something that some people haven't paid much mind to.
Beverly Buckwheat Honestly I see your point and you do make a good case. Personally it’s not that much that Kurt wanted to slow things down and called off the engagement that I hated but more the way he announced it to Blaine. Like “look we tried but it didn’t work so better luck next time idk”. That was a really harsh and very careless way to say it, specially since Kurt knows by this point how emotionally fragile Blaine is. If he just had taken the time to calm down before and the both of them had a long discussion about this I don’t think it would have ended the same. Because, I don’t know about you but, if the person I’m engaged to breaks it off like Kurt just did, I am walking out the door and slamming it in the way out ^^”
You're right, Kurt's way of ending the relationship could've definitely been better. I appreciate that you didn't decide to be one of the immature people who would resort to using profanity and what not, so thanks for that
He could have used a better way to tell Blaine everything but we'll, we have no one but the writers to blame lmao. They legit made the show such shit from Season 4 to 5 and then they made it even worse by making the first episode of Season 6 a break up episode for Klaine (Even though the break up was very much needed)
I personally feel this scene is a crucial part of their relationship. The way neither of them were fulfilling the others needs could've damaged their marriage greatly. Blaine needed more affection, his character was very emotionally vulnerable (especially in season 5). Blaine was too clingy and overall too much for Kurt to handle. Kurt needed more time of his own, which I believed is why they got into way to many fights. They were growing apart. It's not as much as Blaine was the only one fighting, but because Kurt believed they should go slower with the whole 'marriage' thing. Also, the way Kurt had presented the idea to Blaine about splitting was unacceptable. Considering the Klaine fandom is so huge, the producers should have given more thought to their breakup and overall relationship. I loved Klaine, and am glad they had a kind of unrealistic happy ending (like most tv show couples). Glee is my favorite show, and all the actors were great.
As much as they wanted to do a "will they won't they" kind of relationship with Klaine, I feel like the fandom would have given Glee so much shit if they hadn't had a wedding, so I feel like this breakup was just a plot line that was pretty predictable and not really necessary.
@@afterallthistimealways1783 I don't think so, I think it was really necessary and realistic, you really have fights like this when you are living together and almost marrying and stuff, while being young, the person you answered said it all right, I agree with them 100% but I don't think their happy ending was unrealistic, they were meant for each other, they just needed completely different things from each other and weren't mature enough to marry before they went through that, after all that Kurt was way more loveable towards Kurt
Catarina Torres I do think it is realistic, the only reason I don't think it was necessary is because the last season is so short, I think they would have been better keeping them together (though I agree would make it a little less realistic), because they didn't really have time to fully develop B&D or Klaine as solely a friendship and it just seems really rushed to me. I really did like the idea of them finding each other again after working through their problems, but it's not really shown well in such few episodes.
Robert Whyte huh? are u one of those crazy Blaine stans? They loved each other if they didn’t they wouldn’t get married in the spot the same day they got back together. Kurt and Blaine have made their mistakes but I can’t with over obsessed Blaine ppl
@@morganahah5301 I'd agree tbh. Ngl I love Blaine but He did some shit lol and I blame that on the writers because they didn't do a very good job writing klaine in general.. it felt like they had didn't have any ideas on quality arcs to give them so they wrote halfass storylines for them.. Honestly for all the couples in general lol. In the end they really did love eachother tho.. That's honestly the only way they made it work because they put eachother through so much that that relationship would be too much for two people who weren't in love.
Halle Lewis it’s a Relief to know that there are some sane Blaine fans 😂 it’s the same with with me and Kurt, I literally love his character same with Blaine, but both did do some questionable crap that should be talked about. But I hate when some ppl act like the character they love has done nothing wrong! The other day a Rachel Stan said I was a trash and horrible person for liking Kurt, I mean they were so in love with Rachel they became her so I wasn’t surprised to hear that 😂
@@morganahah5301 no Robert not one of the crazy ones u can that Kurt does not love Blaine here look at the way Kurt said I love you too he's had enough of Blaine here in this scene i agree with boyfriend Robert
omg I love Kurt but when he broke off the engagement I cried so hard with pain. mostly becuz Blaine was crying! but when Klaine United I cried again so hard with joy becuz its true love and its meant to be!😭😭😭
Okay so they have always had this dynamic of Blaine being more affectionate than Kurt. In the 2nd and 3rd I think this was due to the fact that Kurt was uncomfortable when it came to sex and things like that whereas Blaine was more comfortable. But then after that I think the dynamic shifted more because of the cheating and the breakup. When someone cheats all the trust you had is immediately gone and whether you get back together again or not it is never going to be the same, I think it was the cheating that made Kurt colder when it comes to affection in the later seasons.
That’s Kurt fault too for not understanding What blaine needs when they’re apart. Blaine felt lonely and Kurt just Made everything worse and he was so rude for talking those words with a high voice to blaine. I’m glad Kurt realizes that he needs blaine and glad that they still love each other and be together
i saw this explained once that “kurt fell for blaine first but blaine fell harder” and i think that really sums up their relationship (and some of their relationship issues)
@@pengasaurus4 Yeah smartass, u really didn’t get the point of the comments here. The conclusion is that both of them have their own mistakes. Blaine who can’t control his desire, and Kurt who lacks of affection.

I’m really feeling for Blaine here... He was the only one trying in season 5, if he hadn’t been fighting for them, they would’ve ended much earlier than this.
@@getitboy83 no, Blaine was way too clingy and needy and he was trapping Kurt in their relationship. I believe they really did love each other, but they weren’t even together when Blaine wanted to propose to him just to get him back, he never let them grow into their own people on their own because he was too afraid of losing him. Also Blaine’s the one who cheated on Kurt, that’s treating him pretty terribly
@@icantthinkofaname1062 I think you must have missed a few episodes because nothing you said was true. Blaine wasn’t clingy, Kurt was. Kurt would hang on Blaine’s arm when they went to the bar or was around Sebastian. Blaine always let him do whatever until he felt Kurt slipping away. Blaine even broke up with Kurt after the cheating incident with Chandler (hence the Whitney song “It’s Not Right, But It’s OK”) from the record store. Also, they had recently gotten back together before Blaine proposed to Kurt in S5E1. In the end, they both cheated but Kurt was the one trying to get Blaine back after he moved on. Kurt never moved on after each breakup. Also, going back to clingy, wasn’t Kurt the one ready to go to war with his best friend when she wanted to date Blaine. Hell, he was even ready to go to war with Tina over Blaine and they weren’t together. Yes, you definitely missed a few episodes, probably seasons.
@@getitboy83 it seems like you’re the one who missed something. I agree in the earlier seasons Kurt was definitely clingy, but later on Blaine seemed to get a character re-write. Ever since Kurt when to New York, Blaine really was clingy and when they moved in together it got even worse. Kurt didn’t actually cheat on Blaine though and while I agree what he did was wrong, he never actually slept with someone else. And they weren’t together when Blaine was planning on proposing to him and then when he did actually propose, they had only recently gotten back together. Do you remember when Blaine freaked out on Elliot? And Kurt wasn’t ready to go to war with Tina, he thought it was creepy that she rubbed vapor rub on his chest while he was sleeping because that’s an insanely weird thing to do and it is such a violation of Blaine’s personal space that he didn’t allow her to do. Plus Blaine is gay and she was basically preying on him when she knew he wasn’t into her. Even if I wasn’t dating someone, I’d be mad if one of my friends rubbed vapor rub onto their chest while they were sleeping without telling or asking them to. I by no means think that Kurt was great to Blaine either, but you can see in the later seasons that Blaine was just too much for Kurt. Overall though I think the whole relationship was toxic and they’re both to blame for that
I feel like this was so out of character for Kurt, he was like so brutally harsh. I just wish if they were going to go this route with having them break up again, then they should've built it up a little so we could really understand this. It just seems forced and unnecessary.
Yeah, and if I ever thought they would break up I thought it would be more of a mutual, mature decision... just bc how they seemed to be all about each other at the end of season 5.
He's scared so he's focusing on small things because it's easier to break up rather than face that level of risk and commitment, and then rewrites it in his head to convince himself he made a mature decision.
Many people say Kurt is cold in here, but he had always been cold. He didn't had lots of friends growing up or in general, his mom died and in school people genuinely belived that they could "get the gay" with just touching and he was used to physical bullying. He obviously wasn't as affectionate as Blaine, he didn't really got a lot of Physical affection in his live, most of the physical attention he got was to get thrown to the dumpsters or pushed to the lockers. I don't think Kurt was a very physical person and he has reasons not to be.
this scene was so unnecessary. i feel like the writers were just trying to make it interesting but they deserved a better reason to break up because this scene was so unrealistic and out of character ugh
So I Know this is a long time ago, and also I've never fully watched glee. Only trying to watch the Klaine parts. But I'd understand if they are young and Kurt is a little nervous about the wedding. I mean it's pretty big!
I think it was in character, at least in character for who they became after season four. Not that I dont still love them, but they definitely changed into something a bit weird. After Blaine cheated even when they got back together, they never went back to normal. He never seemed to like Blaine as much until season six, he always seemed to be mad at him. And Blaine became clingy and lost his sense of humor and the fight he used to have in him. As much as I hate this break up, I think they needed it. Blaine getting with karofsky in result for a second is Of course a whole nother thing though I will not get into here. If anything was unessexary and out of character, it was that
I just wanted to hug Blaine in this and tell him to pick out his favorite bow tie and bring him to the mall to buy him whatever brand of hair gel he wanted 😤💔
I think kurt was a little harsh but blaine was clingy and needy. It still broke my heart to see blaine so heartbroken. I know what it's like to be heartbroken so i know how he felt
@@charlenerafferty3534 blaine was my favorite. Yes i agree kurt was cold there. They were my favorite couple. I'm glad they got their happy ending though

I love how most people are so upset that they break up but I’m just over here in hysterics not being able to breath because if they way Kurt says “on mA face” 💀💀💀
as much as i agree with everyone saying that it's somewhat blaines fault as his character was very emotional and needy however i will slightly disagree. point 1 😂. whenever kurt seemed to have a problem with something blaine had done//not done he would always go straight to a "wrong doing" . after making his actions and blaine finding out Blaine would always say something along the lines of "just talk to me then kurt" (in his heartbroken emotional tone)i think the two characters should have knew eachother enough for kurt to realise if he really loved blaine he was going to need to talk with him more and be straight up with him more because he should realistically have known that blain was a very emotionally vulnerable character and if things were always going to work out there was always going to be more effort needed to make the relationship stable. which brings me to my next point about how people hate the fact blain was with dave. as much as i also agree the fact that turning to you ex-boyfriends bully is majorly wrong, we immediately learn that blain was in a very depressed, lonely and emotionally vulnerable place as he has been left completely heartbroken by the one person he always relied on. Dave just so happened to be the shoulder for blaine to cry on and the person who would listen to him, as much as blaine was still in love with kurt i think the 2 characters (blaine and dave) had a real bond over the fact that they would listen to eachother and talk through each others worry's which is something we never experience in the klaine relationship until after the main problem has hit them. do i think either characters actions right no. but do i think they were fully wrong, no.
When you first saw Blaine, he looks strong confidenr and all, but on the later seasons we can see he’s really fragile and soft And he’s just so precious Kurt on the on the other hand, more tough
I have a lot of mixed feelings about this, but can't help but feel bad for Blaine. Like imagaine what Blaine was feeling. Suddenly out of nowhere Kurt breaks them apart in seconds and Blaine is floored. Wonders if Kurt even still loves him?? Even after that one hug scene in S5 tested where Kurt said "I'm always gonna love you" and even that Kiss in New New York where they both decided mutually that Blaine should move out and Kurt wanted to make strengthen thier relationship "... by protecting something that is very precious to me. You know that right?". I guess what I'm getting at is it's a lot easier to assume from this that Blaine loves Kurt more than Kurt loves Blaine. But I just don't know. I think it appears that way because Blaine was always more verbally and physically expressive. But even after all of this you can tell Kurt loves Blaine a lot. You can see how much Kurt is willing to fight to keep his relationship with Blaine. Because they love eachother. They're that type of couple who are already married in the sense that they're basically lifelong. They'll always come back around through thick and thin, good times, bad. I see a lot of people saying how different they are, which makes them incompatible. But you guys have to remember. They're still young. Theyre each others first relationships. First loves. They're not gonna be 100 percent perfect all of the time. They're gonna fight, they're gonna want different things at times. But in the end they're differences won't break them. You see that in the end, they both want the same thing. To grow old with eachother and to be parents and to make a life with eachother. And that's all they need.
If you ever doubt that Kurt loves Blaine (like I do at times), just remember these moments: 2x16: "I'm never saying goodbye to you" 3x01: "Honestly I just want to see you more. I want my senior year to be magic and the only way that's going to happen is if I spend every minute of every day with you." 3x03?: Blaine gets Tony and we're expecting Kurt to be mad and jelous, but Kurt gives him flowers and ends up being nothing but supportive. "These are to celebrate. You." 3x05: That auditorium kiss??? The looks they're giving eachother?? The whole scene??? Middle S3: when Blaine gets hit w the slushie and Kurt is all sad that he's not at school until Valintians day where Kurt is SO happy to see him. 3x16(????): When Kurt says to Blaine "-but I promise you aren't going to loose me" so sincerely. 3x21(?): When Kurt says, "You know how I picture the end of my life? Just like in the Notebook. Im sitting in a nursing home. Talking endlessly about my highschool sweetheart. My first love. Going on and on about every detail as if they mater. Only in my version, he's there with me." 4x01 When Blaine sang that Goodbye song to Kurt when he was going to New York and there was that cut scene where Kurt said more than "I'm going to miss you so much". He would have said "You really are a star" and Blaine would have said "and you're mine" ×We're getting into breakup territory. Now. Beware.× 4x04 When Blaine suprises Kurt in New York and Kurt basically sCreaMs his name, he so happy he's there. I can't stand not talking to you even tho I'm mad at you, because youre still my best friend." And even after all after Blaine says he loves him. S4 I Do: The hook up where Kurt was basically like 'lol this doesn't mean anything. We're still just firends' but everyone knew that it meant something lol S4 Wonder-ful: When Kurt was basically ready to get back together with Blaine that ENTIRE episode and Blaine was gonna ask him, but changed his mind the last minute and Kurt was so confused and a little taken a back. Lol 5x01: When Burt and Kurt are on their way to Blaines proposal and Kurt says "I mean, I really love Blaine. He makes me feel so connected and a so safe. And.. loved. And I don't think I'll find someone else who'll make me feel like that" Later saying Yes to Blaines proposal S5 New New York: Where Kurt is like "-by protecting something that is very precious to me, you know that right?" Referring to thier relationship. S5 tested: Where Kurt is like "Never. I'm always going to love you" after Blaine is being insecure and thinking Kurt's going to stop loving him. Other S5 quotes: "We're in this together. I can't stop you from failing, but I can promise to make it safe if you do." Their lines in that one song?? •Both together "I said I love you" •Blaine "That's forever" •Kurt "forever" •Both "and this I promise from the heart" That one scene where they're discussing the future in a video tape to Will and Kurts taking about kids with Blaine. The end of the Season when Kurt had set up that office area Blaine set up earlier that season that they got in a fight over. S6: Litterally all the scenes other than this one right here Examples: "Blaines the love of my life... he wasn't afraid of intimacy" He sobbed in the bathroom of a bar after he saw that he was with Dave. That flashback scene where he was thinking of thier relationship while two of the new students were singing and he was crying That look he gave Blaine after the elevator kiss When he literally rAN to Blaines house to tell him that he still loved him so desperately. He got married to him in .2 seconds flat. They're still married 5 years later. They did great with a baby on the way and seemingly perfectly happy.
okay, I love that everyone’s fighting whether if Kurt loved Blaine, or Blaine was clingy blah blah blah. But what I THINK, IN MY OPINION, is that it was best if they broke up, BECAUSE, don’t come at me yet, because maybe their relationship was failing, with the whole not being able to live together thing, and Blaine’s insecurities, and also the proposal, which was beautiful, but a bit rushed, I mean they just got back together. I think it would’ve been better if they got back together in season 5, with no proposal, and then in season 6 or later in season 5, the proposal happened. Maybe they just needed a break for it to be healthy, also to get their own problems solved and realize that they ARE meant for each other and that THEY BOTH LOVE EACH OTHER EQUALLY. thank you, you can get mad at me now.

I’m more on Kurt’s side here, Blaine cheated on Kurt after all and his character is always so emotional and needy and clingy and he always tries to outdo Kurt. It isn’t fair and I see why Kurt wouldn’t want to be full committed yet or at all.
Kurt didn't cheat on Blaine. He flirted and texted with another guy. I can see how that would hurt Blaine's feelings, but I don't consider that cheating. Blaine actually went to another guys house and did stuff with him. That was cheating.
Yes Blaine cheated but they are past it, Kurt forgave him for that and got back together after so no point bringing it up. Also, Blaine never tries to "outdo" Kurt, yes he's emotional and it was one of the reasons Kurt first liked Blaine!
Taylor Velazquez Blaine cheated on kurt in season 4, kurt doesn’t need to have that trust with him just yet. he got mad at Blaine because he kept asking for more, and more affection when Kurt wasn’t getting anything in return.
@@cammy5590 I totally understand why Kurt broke up with Blaine - their relationship were toxic which could also be observed in season: ● Their lack of communication about their feeling for examples in the mime class 5×14 Blaine asked if he was too clingy because he was worried, Kurt said no and then Blaine was relieved. Blaine figured out by himself he was being too clingy because Kurt did not want to hurt his feeling. Blaine did not talked about his insicurites to Kurt, because Kurt was getting better and better and Blaine felt he was getting worse and worse and that Kurt did not need me him anymore "and then one day you're gonna wake up and you're gonna realize that 'I don't love him anymore.'" ● They were fighting all the time. ● Kurt did not if he love Blaine anymore even in season he did seem to love him When Blaine came to New work he focused all his attention to Kurt he made the breakfast everyday, and he wanted to do whatever Kurt wanted to do which make him clingy, he was preparing dinner, instead of going out with June and famous people he went to the Peter Pan musical for Kurt and in the showcase he disobeyed June to show Kurt's talent and sung "America boy". Yes Blaine measured love with attention which why when he first came to New he gave all his to Kurt which is why he so clingy, it was his first relationship. When Kurt was not giving a lot of his attention he felt like he did not love him but then he understood it when he talked to Elliot and then Kurt which why Blaine decided to give some space to Kurt and moved with Sam.

Totally agree. That was so frustrating!
Thank you, sane one, for putting my thoughts into words.
I couldn't have said it any better myself
how is it that this is exactly what i feel but i couldn't have presented it so well. it's like i feel so passionate about them that my emotions jumble by cognitive functions. i just FEEL :( i used to love kurt but looking back im not sure what i saw in him. i liked the ice queen facade but it wasn't really a facade. i suppose i idealized him being very vulnerable and affectionate. with blaine i love how over the top and affectionate he is and i think he deserves all the attention he gets. i prefer Blaine's negative traits to kurts. after their first break up, i felt so bad for Blaine that i couldn't enjoy the show. i hated how his happiness/unhappiness was focused on kurt. there was large parts where i felt like blaine was the only one trying.
Imagine Blaine singing “needy” by Ariana Grande
my life would be complete
This was written so well?
That look Blaine gave at 2:37 after Kurt said that they needed to breakup before they completely hated each other says it all. "It's a little late for that"
" was it something that i did " I am literally in tears!
Oh gosh that was so heartbreaking. The way the flashback ends and there's tears in Kurt's eyes?! Chris is amazing.
that was a... great.... way to start off a season...

MAH FACE
@@rachelleolivia5943 100%. It's like they just gave up completely in the middle of season 4.
They were actually gonna make the breakup alot harsher for blaine to handle.
@@afterallthistimealways1783 Oh, yeah, I fully agree with you, then

@@morganahah5301 I'd agree tbh. Honestly for all the couples in general lol.
In the end they really did love eachother tho.. That's honestly the only way they made it work because they put eachother through so much that that relationship would be too much for two people who weren't in love.

omg I love Kurt but when he broke off the engagement I cried so hard with pain. mostly becuz Blaine was crying! but when Klaine United I cried again so hard with joy becuz its true love and its meant to be!😭😭😭
So did I
Okay so they have always had this dynamic of Blaine being more affectionate than Kurt.
@@robertwhyte4979 Blaine was the best thing that happened to Kurt and he treated him terrible.
Overall though I think the whole relationship was toxic and they’re both to blame for that
Blaine acting is really on point here 😭💖💖
As alway, fantastic acting! I love to see the mixture of emotions on each of their faces. Of note, Blaine at 2:40 and Kurt at 2:42

Yeah it was out of character for Blaine when he was like " I'll never forgive you for this "
He's scared so he's focusing on small things because it's easier to break up rather than face that level of risk and commitment, and then rewrites it in his head to convince himself he made a mature decision.
@@SabrinaRosa02 well, I think everyone would feel a little bit this way in his situation

Kurt is so cold in this scene.
Kurt my no 1 favourite character but I agree he is cold I do feel sorry for blaine but at the same time I understood Kurt
this scene was so unnecessary. i feel like the writers were just trying to make it interesting but they deserved a better reason to break up because this scene was so unrealistic and out of character ugh

I feel like the way Kurt broke up with him was very mean.
Also: the way Blaine cried just really made me sad for him.
as much as i agree with everyone saying that it's somewhat blaines fault as his character was very emotional and needy however i will slightly disagree. point 1 😂. whenever kurt seemed to have a problem with something blaine had done//not done he would always go straight to a "wrong doing" . after making his actions and blaine finding out Blaine would always say something along the lines of "just talk to me then kurt" (in his heartbroken emotional tone)i think the two characters should have knew eachother enough for kurt to realise if he really loved blaine he was going to need to talk with him more and be straight up with him more because he should realistically have known that blain was a very emotionally vulnerable character and if things were always going to work out there was always going to be more effort needed to make the relationship stable. which brings me to my next point about how people hate the fact blain was with dave. as much as i also agree the fact that turning to you ex-boyfriends bully is majorly wrong, we immediately learn that blain was in a very depressed, lonely and emotionally vulnerable place as he has been left completely heartbroken by the one person he always relied on. Dave just so happened to be the shoulder for blaine to cry on and the person who would listen to him, as much as blaine was still in love with kurt i think the 2 characters (blaine and dave) had a real bond over the fact that they would listen to eachother and talk through each others worry's which is something we never experience in the klaine relationship until after the main problem has hit them. do i think either characters actions right no. but do i think they were fully wrong, no.

the what changed question really got me
I have a lot of mixed feelings about this, but can't help but feel bad for Blaine.
If you ever doubt that Kurt loves Blaine (like I do at times), just remember these moments:
2x16: "I'm never saying goodbye to you"
3x01: "Honestly I just want to see you more. I want my senior year to be magic and the only way that's going to happen is if I spend every minute of every day with you."
3x03?: Blaine gets Tony and we're expecting Kurt to be mad and jelous, but Kurt gives him flowers and ends up being nothing but supportive. "These are to celebrate. You."
3x05: That auditorium kiss???
Only in my version, he's there with me."
4x01 When Blaine sang that Goodbye song to Kurt when he was going to New York and there was that cut scene where Kurt said more than "I'm going to miss you so much". He would have said "You really are a star" and Blaine would have said "and you're mine"

okay, I love that everyone’s fighting whether if Kurt loved Blaine, or Blaine was clingy blah blah blah. Maybe they just needed a break for it to be healthy, also to get their own problems solved and realize that they ARE meant for each other and that THEY BOTH LOVE EACH OTHER EQUALLY.
thank you, you can get mad at me now.
i agree the proposal was extremely rushed in and i feel like just by looking at kurt that he really didn’t wanna say yes at first.
"let's call it quits before we completely hate each other" I'm sorry, are there other emotions you have for the fiancée that breaks up your engagement?!
Me watching this and having a flashback of the proposal with blaine saying "all i want to do, all i ever wanted to do is spend my life loving you"
Darren breaking down and getting upset breaks
my heart. Also at 2:25 darren’s face upsets me
everyone: this is so out of character! I feel for blaine! This is so sad!
me: *pAtHeTiC faLLaCy*
JM stfu if you think they are pathetic then LEAVE
Laysha Martinez pathetic fallacy means when the mood represents the weather lol
Laysha Martinez NOT IN ANYWAY SHAPE OR FORM!!! I was referring to when the weather reflects the mood!!! 😂😂
I'm sorry I couldn't help but be so angry at Kurt I MEAN THE MAN TRANSFERED SCHOOLS FOR YOU, TOOK A SPIKED SLUSHIE FOR YOU, AND WAS THE ONLY ONE TRYING SEASON 5
losing feelings is natural and something kurt can’t control. he obviously needed a break from blaine and he didn’t mean to hurt blaine the way he did.
ikr I just felt bad. I can't blame him for losing feelings but have some empathy for god sake. kinda glad he dated kafrosky then
I’m more on Kurt’s side here, Blaine cheated on Kurt after all and his character is always so emotional and needy and clingy and he always tries to outdo Kurt. It isn’t fair and I see why Kurt wouldn’t want to be full committed yet or at all.
Kurt haven't even mentioned the cheat so wtf are u sayin
Didn't kurt cheat too
@@tacayagaines71 Kurt never fully cheated like Blaine, but they're over it at this point so idk why ppl keep bringing it up
Kurt didn't cheat on Blaine.
I know this is supposed to be sad but I laugh hysterically at this scene
How?! It's literally sad. Whenever I see blaine cry I get sad no matter what happened, and Kurt. Idk why but it's just sad when they're sad
1:48-1:52 MY HEART IS BROKEN this has to be one of the top saddest breakups i love klaine WAY TOO MUCH
THIS KILLED ME I WAS SO MAD AT KURT
It was Kurt's fault technically...Kurt was being big diva and he got mad at Blaine for no reason...
Taylor Velazquez Blaine cheated on kurt in season 4, kurt doesn’t need to have that trust with him just yet. he got mad at Blaine because he kept asking for more, and more affection when Kurt wasn’t getting anything in return.
@@cammy5590 I totally understand why Kurt broke up with Blaine - their relationship were toxic which could also be observed in season:
● Their lack of communication about their feeling for examples in the mime class 5×14 Blaine asked if he was too clingy because he was worried, Kurt said no and then Blaine was relieved. Blaine figured out by himself he was being too clingy because Kurt did not want to hurt his feeling. Blaine did not talked about his insicurites to Kurt, because Kurt was getting better and better and Blaine felt he was getting worse and worse and that Kurt did not need me him anymore "and then one day you're gonna wake up and you're gonna realize that 'I don't love him anymore.'"
● They were fighting all the time.
● Kurt did not if he love Blaine anymore even in season he did seem to love him
When Blaine came to New work he focused all his attention to Kurt he made the breakfast everyday, and he wanted to do whatever Kurt wanted to do which make him clingy, he was preparing dinner, instead of going out with June and famous people he went to the Peter Pan musical for Kurt and in the showcase he disobeyed June to show Kurt's talent and sung "America boy".
@@cammy5590 So technically it was Kurt fault because if he was still so pissed of for the Blaine-cheating-thing he should have never get back with him and then said yes at the proposal neither.
You know something sad or dramatic is gonna happen when the rain starts
NOOOO MY SHIPP!!!!!!!!!! KLAINE WAS MAH FAV COUPLE
While everyone is crying at this scene, I'm laughing cs of Kurt's toothpaste comment 😭
2:28 this is the saddest thing ever.
Okay honestly Blaine crying is the cutest thing
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! KURT/CHRIS YOU DESERVE SO MUCH BETTER THEN blane!!!!! he thinks too much of himself!!! he even tries to stick to you now. to make himself something? SCRAPE HIM OFF!!!
I hate this scene but I can't go a day without watching it
bruh they just needed a longer engagement... the marriage proposal was to give Blaine a sense of stability.... and also... obviously they're still young and haven't really experienced living on their own so neither blaine nor kurt really understand how to react to things really a year or two of not living together but still dating and going to school together would've helped... seriously just needed a long engagement
They relationship reminds me of 1 famous real life relationship. Miley Cyrus relationship. They literally broke up, drove apart, grow themselves up, then get back together when they realize they still love each other.
Kurt here was right, better be apart then still standing side by side until they hate each other.
0:15-0:43 I really hope that was a clever one take and not camera magic made in the editing booth. Because it's such a cool long shot.
The way the camera stays on Darren makes me think that Chris is off screen running over to the table while doing a quick wardrobe change. 😂
And I'm guessing that was a stand in hands they used when Blaine first arrives.
When Kurt said maybe I don’t Blaine’s eyes jus got me. They got me good... It’s like seeing Will cry with Emma after Finn died
Omg the acting is on point
THE ACTING IN THIS SCENE I CANNOT DJSICBDJDHDJE LMFAOOOO BLAINE
2:39 me to Ryan Murphy during this scene
And our hearts broke about this.
I hate this moment so much! this break up between Klaine it was totally unnecessary at this point ! but great job writers you always do the right thing ☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃
Its funny how he goes from being mad to crying in a second
Kurt: "we're kids!"
Me: "um.. This is three years after you graduated Kurt, your like 21..."
😕🤷
Kurt looks like 18 and Blaine looks about 22
@@briloveskurthummelbriones1565 because Kurt actually was 18-19. He was the youngest out of the whole cast. I'm pretty sure he was like 16 when the show started
@@julianorden8108 he was 19 when it started I think but ignore her she's obsessed with Kurt and hates Brittney shes not ok
you're still pretty much a kid when you're 21 lmao wtf is up with the mentality that someone above 18 is suddenly an adult that can handle all kinds of things by their own? that's how you become dysfunctional
Julia Norden Chris (Kurt's actor) was born 1990, just do your maths.
Being engaged and watching this is so scary lol.. but I can admit that once you get engaged to someone you do start to argue more. Your relationship gets tested and only real love makes it to the other side .
This is a button for people sobbing rn
