incredible as always! I was considering going the focal flax 3 way, running active, for my car in the future. Mid bass on paper seems to be quite suitable for doors, and the price is pretty competitive here in aus.

I'm with you Peter......I hate wasted processing channels....😁
I had focal K2 splits running active. Never gave great midbass?
I'm dangling the 3 way front stage carrot in front of customers.....but the boss doesn't like me talking directly to customers.....😂 likes selling the gear but is always sceptical that they will pay for pillar fabrication.
When I demo my personal car, most customers spend the money!😊😊😊

Hey Peter long time follower. Love your work. I actually have the same pods installed on my vehicle that the customer had previously installed. How much a difference did the custom a-pillar make in spl and sq? Was there a significantly flatter response before eq? Similar situation for having to work from the street and an apartment. Thanks again for all your contributions to the community!

Hi David, Pods usually make mids a bit honky, so in the pillar builds they just need a bit less EQ work.

Congratulations, excellent rescue Peter...is that Focal FPX line of amplifiers SQ worthy?

How are the power cables routed from the battery to the amps under the seats? About to start my own similar project...

I’m not sure. On this one we only built the pillars, the rest was done by the owner.

Excellent job as always! Would you consider selling the 3d printed mesh grills separately? I have the same speakers but am from the other side of the pond.

It was custom made for the given mounting of the speaker in this installation, so the ring is push fit and flush. I’m not sure it work the same way for you. It’s not like the old Utopia grills that clipped onto the Focal screws.

@@pssound9749 Oh yes, I understand now. Thanks for the clarification. I'll have to figure out a way to create one then. 👍🏻

It’s not off the shelf item, it’s bespoke made. We can install anything, but we need the car onsite. Where do you live?
