This worked kinda like a tissue for me at the moment this came out as a single. I was very unhappy with Anita's departure from 2 Unlimited in 1996. I think it was as hard as the split up of Take That for all those girls in the same year. At least I almost cried my heart out back then. She has left 2 Unlimited for the second time 2 years ago, but I guess it may have been the better choice for her. It seems problems with the producers were never really solved, even when she rejoined them. And there was that issue with Ray's book, in which he describes the problems from the past with Anita. And then, while it seemed like they had layed down their metaphoric battle axes, Anita pretty much called that part of his story a fairy tale. But back to this song. Allthough the single version may have worked like Anita was comforting me with it because of 2 Unlimited's split up, the extended album version (which is this one), contained a 'wink' to 2 Unlimited's greatest hit in their past. Listen to the words she softly sings at the end and you'll know what I mean. So, when the album Reality came out, I heard this part of the song and was thinking about No limit as welll as 2 Unlimited being gone, again. It made me very emotional once again. And for a while, I considered this to be my favorite song of that period. And allthough Anita's solo songs weren't very succesful, I still have to think back at that 90s period and shed a tear.when I hear this song. Yes, even now! I just can't help it.
And a music video exists for this song too. I was really really so so so happy to see Ray & Anita return many years ago. And then as 2 Unlimited once again??? I'm just very very happy it at least happened. I'm a huge fan from usa of both as well. I just hate to hear about the problems that happened over the years as well. And I didn't know about Ray having a book as well. I would have loved so much to at least go to one of the new 2 Unlimited concerts from a few years ago. Just sucks it was overseas only for me.
