  • Special Guest David Brandt put on a presentation at the Lake Springfield Watershed Resource Planning Committee Meeting June 16th. David Brandt is from Carrol, Ohio and has been a no-till farmer since 1971, growing corn, soybeans and wheat on his farms. He added cover crops to his farming operation in 1978. Join us as Davis shares his 50 years of experience on how he has been building soil health, limiting soil erosion and agriculture water runoff, and reducing crop inputs, while increasing crop yields.

    How badly, the nerdy sustainability people were begging for farmers to do this 40 years ago. I just wish they had put more money in years ago for farmers who were doing this so much sooner. Those blooms put so many people out of biz for no good reason. Because it's not like the farms who don't do this way or more productive because they aren't. year after year more inputs and less productive unless there's record rain fall spread out perfect to drop nitrogen on there crops. Real nitrogen living version and not the synthetic kind.
