Hi Dan! Thanks for covering my team, I was pretty nervous and planned to do this already before but my previous phone got insane lag spikes especially when recording, but now it was better for sure (despite the one lag spike you noticed when my CM timing was off). I have sometimes previously actually commented in one of your videos that I have hard time understanding when I should be leaving the matchup and when I should allow the farm down. This is almost only because I can't decide how much it is worth to keep the switch there. In the other matchup where I got correctly farmed down this was much more obvious as pairing Jumpluff vs Gastrodon and Diggersby vs Toxapex was a no-brainer, but when the last Pokemon is still hidden, I don't accurately know what is the value of the switch. Basically I got farmed down because I wanted to pair Diggersby vs what was left of the Dunsparce. So yeah, that's something I definitely need to work on which I guess is partially connected to the original issue I mentioned having about team reading. Thanks so much and I'll try to send another team your way once I decide to switch teams :)
I've had good fun and decent success (2000 - 2200 elo) with Jumpluff, Oranguru, and Rock Throw Sudowoodo! I want to use Carbink but don't have a decent one yet so I was looking for Rock Throw alternatives. Nobody expects the Sudowoodo with Trailblaze. Even if the grass isn't super effective, the added damage to STAB Rock Throw really adds up and surprises a lot of people.
Would really love a bunnelby COM day to grind out the XLs. They were spawning recently but one spawn amongst many others isn't guaranteed to a see a lot, and a mega evolution for XL candy only last a set time
At least for me, the logic behind Dunsparce lead is that if you commit shields, you can beat almost anything. There's also basically no fighters this season. So you run ABC, win lead, then you can align whatever is in the back
I wanted to ask him this as well :) It's a tough one! I have tried both honestly and whenever I try one and it miserably fails I'm like, no, next time I will do the other option. One thing to consider is that often when you insta switch, somehow people might autoswitch as well even if they are already in a decent match up and sometimes they even just top left immediately realizing they just switched to something really bad when they get the pressure to quickly switch into something, especially if it's a match-up you don't face that often. I think I'm slightly favoring switching to Diggersby though.
I actually ran Hyper Beam for the first week of Great League and then switched to Fire Punch. I definitely think both of them have their strengths and weaknesses. Fire Punch just feels much more flexible, so maybe it's just team dependant as well. The matchups you mention especially this team kinda struggles against so it is definitely an option to consider.
Haven't watched the vid yet but I ran this exact same team but with Dunsparce instead of Diggersby because Talonflame leads would be tricky as well as ice.
It is true that Dunsparce deals with the Ice and Fire while mainting many of the same positive match-ups as Diggersby. I originally went Diggersby mostly because of Clodsire. That being said, I've seen less and less Clodsire. Diggersby does extremely well against most safe swaps in this meta (especially when combined with Jumpluff as the safe swaps Diggersby doesn't beat don't really get changed into Jumpluff). But Lickilicky, Clodsire, Dunsparce, Drapion etc. all lose quite comfortably to Diggersby, so that was my idea behind Diggersby as well as seeing Clodsire in 50% of the teams at the start of the season. Dunsparce is also good against Mandibuzz which this team struggles a bit against, so maybe the Dunsparce is a bit more versatile pick out of the two for this team :)
@@Zureiyaa Yeah I just prefer the flexibility into a more diverse meta than targeting very specific mons that are very frequent. Definitely up to preference but that jumpluff + rock core is nearly perfect on paper. Wp and nice team building ;)
this peron just plays for a year and has the xl's to build a rank 2, level 50 diggersby? how? i'm playing for like 10 months and have barely enough to theoretically build a level 42 one.
Hi nait5340, I think in August maybe we had an event with tons of Bunnelby spawning, I got up to about 150 XL's and then traded away the rest during this season at the start to get the Diggersby team going I had planned for already previously. Guaranteed XL trade makes a huge difference and definitely should be taken advantage of.
@@Zureiyaa welp, ok thanks. i don't have friends playing this game close by, so trading isn't something i can rely on. also i don't have a ground or normal mega, nor do i buy premium passes or incubators. guess i'll have to play the long game and use one as buddy. or pray that it gets a comday.
That said they’ve been playing gbl for a year, not go. They’ve probably played for a long time and already have all the candies to build what they need
Diggersby has to be they most annoying, basic, toxic Pokemon this season. Ahead of Toxapex, and Mandibuzz. Bastiodon gives it a run for its money, but I hardly ever see Bastiodon.

I’ve had a lot of success with a similar team, shadow feraligatr lead and diggersby and talonflame in the back
What do you do Dan on a Talon lead? Switch into Fer or Dig?

Im the same elo range and yes Dan, dunsparce is on 50% of leads
Prefer hyper beam over fire punch for mirror matchup, manbuzz and talon flame.
Never gets shielded since it's unexpected.

60fps? Makes the game look like it runs well lol

@@MarckPoGoW Thanks :D Best of luck to you for the rest of the season!
The diggersby needs hyperbeam
I love diggs❤

Good morning Dan

Also it's a 1km walk for candy lol thats how I did it

This team is garbage losing every game with it
