After listening to this and having followed Cathro for years now and being aware of how gid he is on a bike, I'm gobsmacked by how tough mentally these tracks are to ride at this level and how tough mentally these riders are. It's one thing to ride first if everything goes perfect, but if you're offline or make a mistake, you have to be able to mentally recover and still manage yourself down the rest of the track. Super impressed Cathro - well earned finish!

One minute your as high as a kite and the next minute you're crashed in a heap wondering have you got any fractures. Great entertainment.
I remember watching Ben from a gondola last year at fort William absolutely flying and couldn't believe how fast he was going ! placed 40th really well done but just shows how fast the top dawgs are

Congrats, Ben! What an accomplishment! I had a very similar crash at Snowshoe this summer on Pro DH...hits to the noggin suck. Good job dusting off and getting back in the saddle.
Ben's idea of "crusing" down the track is a speed that I can only achieve in my imagination.

Nice Run Ben, last World Cup I raced was in 1999 at Squaw Valley. Love to watch all the current DH races, the courses and bikes have changed so much.
