As for putting them next to a window or vent that is because there is a high risk of contaminates getting into the water not because of the airflow, their are literally air filtered fans that people use as chillers to keep their axolotls at a good temp! I promise I wouldn’t advocate for something that could be harmful to the animal but there is absolutely no research that says bubblers are unsafe
