I was baptized Father, Son, and Holy Ghost in 2002. I met my wife in 2019 and God used her to share Acts 2:38!with me. I didn’t fight God. I quickly obeyed Acts 2:38 and on December 8, 2019 I was rebaptized in the Name of JESUS CHRIST

perfect example of why women are not in order to have authority over men, you're supposed to be teaching your wife not the other way around, learning together. You clearly didn't listen to God and instead listened to your wife because Matt 28:18-19 explicit says by our Lord Jesus to baptize in the name of the triune God. As all of ours apostles and fathers have taught this as well, these doctors have bad doctrine and teaching on baptism, sad that you've also felt the need to be re baptized which isn't necessary either. Imagine the Lord Jesus giving a command to baptize in the name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit n then his apostles just ignore it and do it only in His name. Cmon, think!

@@Patty-b7w you have bad bible exegesis, Jesus Himself said to baptize in the name of the Trinity which is what our God is, 3 persons, 1 essence. 1 God. Jesus is not the father, the father is not the Son, the Holy Spirit is not either but Himself

In Acts 11, believers were 1st identified "Christians"? All Christians in the Book of Acts were unarguably "baptized in the name of Yeshua"! [Equivalent of Yahweh-Saves, ]

      Martyrdom of Polycarp (120-140AD)
O Lord God Almighty, Father of your beloved and blessed Son Jesus Christ, through whom we have received knowledge of you, the God of angels and powers and of all creation, and of the whole race of the righteous who live in your presence, I bless you…I glorify you, through the eternal and heavenly high priest, Jesus Christ, your beloved Son, through whom be glory to you, with him and the Holy Spirit, both now and for the ages to come. There is pronounced over him who chooses to be born again, and has repented of his sins, the name of God the Father and Lord of the universe; he who leads to the laver the person that is to be washed calling him by this name alone. For no one can utter the name of the ineffable God…And in the name of Jesus Christ, who was crucified under Pontius Pilate, and in the name of the Holy Ghost, who through the prophets foretold all things about Jesus, he who is illuminated is washed.
Martyrdom of Ignatius 2 (120 AD?)
Thou art in error when thou callest the daemons of the nations gods. For there is but one God, who made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that are in them; and one Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, whose kingdom may I enjoy.

The Greek word for "name" in Matthew 28:19 is the Greek word "onoma" which is asking for the name of one specific individual. Father, son, and holy Ghost, are all common nouns and do not fulfill the requirement of "onoma" in any fashion or form. Also, "calling upon" the name of the Lord, "epikaleo" or "epikaleomai" were in reference to calling on the name of the Lord Jesus in water baptism! You can't run grab the Roman road of salvation without having an Acts chapter 2:38 experience!!
Jesus name is the only way to administer water baptism!
    God bless,

I was baptized 12-9-1962. The pastor came from Indiana with the message and a bunch of us were baptized in Jesus name. A bunch left and were lost. Today 2-29-20. The first Spanish group baptized in the name in all of NewYork. There was a upc church on 92 street very small. We got baptized in the name there. Only people baptized in the name were our Black brothers. We started a revolution. Now there are many churches in New York. We started in the Bronx. I lived in Florida for forty years. Still happy and we never looked back. Today I am 80 yrs old. Thank you Lord.

@californiakaren789 the NAME is singular. Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are not names. Read through Acts and the epistles, wherever they mention baptism it is in the name of Jesus, or in the name of the Lord (Jesus). There is no trinity.

    Matthew 28:19...
    or Acts 2:38?
    How should I be baptized?
Wouldn’t I be safer in obeying Jesus rather than Peter in regards to water baptism?
Let's first examine the two scriptures in question:
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost..." - Jesus (Matt. 28:19)
"Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins..." - Peter (Acts 2:38)
This is probably the most common question asked, and it deserves a solid answer. For it is this very question, when explained and understood, that could move your theological position from Trinitarian (One God in three persons) to Oneness (One God manifested in flesh).
First of all, if baptism was not in God’s plan of Salvation, it would not matter how - or even if - you were baptized. However, as this Bible Study has revealed, baptism is indeed in God’s plan for the remission of our sins. Therefore, we need to ponder the following facts as we come to our decision:
    1. No one in your Bible was ever baptized in the titles, Father, Son & Holy Ghost. Jesus commissioned baptism in a singular name. Father, Son & Holy Ghost are titles of God. Jesus is His name. I am a husband, father, son … but if I wrote a check out to you, it would need my name.
    2. The New Testament church in the book of Acts knew only of water baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ. “The formula used was ‘in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ’ or some other synonymous phrase: there is no evidence for use of the trine name.” - Encyclopedia of Religion and Ethics, 1951, vol. 2, pg. 384 ( Acts 2: 38; 8: 16; 10: 48; 19: 5; 22: 16; Rom. 6: 3; 1 Cor. 1:13)
    3. Throughout scripture, Jesus instructs us to pray in His name, cast out devils in His name, anoint the sick with oil in His name, etc. Why would it be considered heresy to baptize in His name?
    4. Jesus also instructed the Apostles to preach remission of sins in His name:
Luke 24: 47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
    5. Peter preached the first sermon of the first church. His reply to “What must we do?” fulfilled both Matthew 28: 19 and Luke 24: 47:
“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” - Acts 2: 38
Matthew 28: 19 is the ONLY TIME that Trinitarians use this argument about “rather obeying the words of Jesus”, but once that argument is used it must be applied to the entirety of the New Testament. For one to say “I would rather obey the words of Jesus than the words of the Apostles” is to imply that the original preachers of the New Testament church were in error, and in essence, false teachers.
Please prayerfully consider the following facts about the Apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ:
    1. Peter (whom some even refer to as the first Pope) was given the “keys to the kingdom”, or the spiritual insight into being saved. (Matt. 16: 19)
    2. If it did not matter how a person was baptized, Paul would not have re-baptized believers. (See Acts 19: 1 - 6)
    3. Jesus spent 40 days with His Apostles AFTER his resurrection. He spoke to them concerning the kingdom of God. Is it not reasonable to believe that if His Apostles had any questions, they would have been clearly answered during this period? (See Acts 1: 3)
    4. Remember, it was Jesus Himself who “opened their (the Apostles) understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,” (Luke 24: 45)
    5. The church is built upon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Jesus Christ Himself is the chief cornerstone. (Ephesians 2: 20)
    6. If the Apostles had been in error, their names would not be written in Heaven. (Revelation 21: 14)
    7. Jesus prayed for every person who would believe on Him through the Apostles’ doctrine:
John 17: 20 - “Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;”
    8. John gave us the secret to deciphering truth from error:
1 John 4: 6 “We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.”
Following the Apostle’s doctrine assures us from falling to deception.
    9. Acts 2: 47 says “…And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.” If Jesus had not approved of Acts 2: 38, He would not have placed His seal of approval on it and saved souls.
    10. The only way we even know what Jesus said - is to trust fully in the written words of His Apostles. As a matter of fact, if we cannot trust the Apostles’ words, we cannot trust the entire New Testament. The argument of “rather obeying Jesus” is simply said in ignorance and has no validity.
You really have only two choices when determining how to be baptized:
    Tradition … or Truth.
Tradition has to acknowledge that no person in the scriptures was baptized by repeating the titles, “Father, Son, and Holy Ghost”, but continues to hold to the argument that “I’d rather believe the words of Jesus than the words of the Apostles.”
Truth would contend that when you believe the Apostle's preaching, and are baptized in the singular name of Jesus Christ, you are INDEED fulfilling the commission of Matthew 28: 19, and thereby obeying the words of Jesus, just as the Apostles did.
Colossians 3: 17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
This would definitely include water baptism.

Not exactly, God had a son, yes baptism is in Jesus name of course, the son of God inherited his fathers name which is Jesus, but son is not just a (title) he’s the actual son Of GOD, we as oneness need to understand God’s word is alive, his name is Jesus, it’s not robbery for him to be worshipped because he is the Word of God, the word Of God is in God and God the father is in HIS WORD. Study the mystery of the father and the Son, once you see Christ as the Word of God you’ll unlock many mysteries

I was baptized on Christmas eve ,in Jesus Christ name when I was 19 years old.
When I came up out of the water, a great bright light came through the ceiling and hit me with pure glory. It was an experience I'll never get over or forget. It was when His name was said over me. I remember the preacher said my name then said, On the confession of your faith and for the remission of your sins I now baptize you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I went under the water after he said the Name, then when I came up out of the water, a great big bright light hit me. It came through the ceiling.

That's an extraordinary story, thanks for this! I was baptized as well, however I was a bit younger as I was around 6-7 years old haha. Now I'm 20 for reference. One early cold morning I was almost struck by a train as I tried committing suicide however something forced me to step back from the tracks. I was crying on the platform in the darkness as it was 3-4 in the morning and it was cold. Suddenly a man came from across the tracks from the other platform (keep in mind a few other people passed by yet didn't seem to notice me) he sat next to me, wrapped his arms around me, asked me my name and continued to pray for me as I cried on his shoulder. I'll never forget his kindness however I forget his face not being able to see too much of it in the dark and I didn't catch his name however I remember his voice. I never saw him before in my life but I always thank God for him. He even offered to purchase me a train ticket however 2 things were wrong: I had a long thick cable in hand for when I reach the beach from the train I would go and hang myself on the pier if being struck didn't work, and 2 that's when my grandma came as I had called her when I arrived there.
I'm sorry this is so long however I was eager to share this with someone who hopefully will understand the meaning haha. God bless you and I hope you have a lovely day/night. 🙏

The Bible preaches A TRIUNE GOD, not The Trinity Doctrine which states '"THE FATHER IS NOT THE SON OR THE HOLY SPIRIT, THE SON IS NOT THE FATHER OR THE HOLY SPIRIT & THE HOLY SPIRIT IS NOT THE FATHER OR THE SON"! YOU FAILED TO SEE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN "A TRIUNE GOD" & "THE TRINITY DOCTRINE"!
IF GOD IS NOT A TRIUNE GOD, WHY DID JESUS GIVE THE COMMAND TO BAPTISE "In The Name of The Father, Son and Holy Spirit"?
God is triune is not the problem - the problem of the Trinity Doctrine is that it states that "THE FATHER IS NOT THE SON OR THE HOLY SPIRIT, THE SON IS NOT THE FATHER OR THE HOLY SPIRIT & THE HOLY SPIRIT IS NOT THE FATHER OR THE SON"? BUT THE BIBLE PREACHES THAT THE FATHER IS THE SON & THE HOLY SPIRIT! Can you see the contradiction?
God is NOT "THREE...persons in ONE" BUT ONE GOD IN THREE FORMS - FATHER, SON AND HOLY SPIRIT! Why can't God separate Himself and come to earth AS "The Son of God"? JESUS SAID in John 16:27 "I CAME OUT FROM GOD".
If there is only ONE God and rightly, than how can Jesus be different Person from God the Father? If Jesus is the Savior and God also claimed He is the ONLY Savior and none else, so did the Bible get confused and anyone speak lie?
I WORSHIP THE ONE GOD THE FATHER WHO MANIFESTED HIMSELF AS FATHER, SON & HOLY SPIRIT IN HIS NAME YHWH (YaHuWaH). WHEN WE WORSHIP GOD IN HIS NAME YHWH (YaHuWaH), WE WORSHIP THE FATHER, SON & HOLY SPIRIT AS ALL THREE HAVE THE SAME ONE GLORIOUS/GREATEST NAME IN EARTH & HEAVEN (Philippians 2:9).

I was baptized at the age of 6-7 years old (now 20) by my lifelong pastor (who sadly passed away few months ago) and I have always had a real good relationship with God and spirits and he saved my life from suicide on multiple occasions. In all factuality the Lord will appear before me and he would tell me things like I am his child and not only does he love me however my story is not yet finished and I have yet to complete my mission.
He works in mysterious ways however He will always guide you no matter what. I don't personally like going to church since I prefer to have my own alone time with Him, so I'm not a "normal" Christian in that way however I still pray and call upon His holy name whenever I am in need.

Very good teaching. My dad is a father and a son and a husband, but his name is Andrew. That is the same with Father, Son and Holy Ghost as they are titles but not the name that relates to the person who is Jesus. Jesus is the Father in Creation, Son in Redemption and Holy ghost in Resurrection. The Father could not shed blood for sins as a spirit, and the Son had to come in a 'human-like form' for us to have an example of how to live as well as in a form of an high priest who was the sacrifice for our sins. The Holy ghost comes into our hearts as a comforter and for us to be one with God. Jesus prayed this prayer.... St John 17 v 21 'as thou Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us'. The word 'They' are in reference to us as humans. V 22 ....'that they may be one, even as we are one'.

After the sermon the pastor said that all those desiring to be anointed with oil and prayed for should line up.
They did and in doing so I saw several children in line with their mothers. None of the children could have been older then six years old. When the first little boy reached the front of the line and the pastor touched his head he immediately crumpled to the floor and lay there speaking in tongues. Before I knew it all the children were laying on the floor speaking in tongues with their heads cradled in their smiling mothers laps.

If "Allah" means "THE ONE AND ONLY GOD" - WHY CAN'T PEOPLE OF OTHER RELIGIONS USE "ALLAH" TO WORSHIP THEIR GODS? Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Taoist etc NEVER use the term "Allah" in their worship.
Some Christian Churches in Malaysia thought this and preached & worshipped in their Churches using "Allah". A court proceeeding was brought against these Churches AND THE MUSLIM COUNCIL IN MALAYSIA STATED THAT "ALLAH" DOES NOT MEAN "GOD" - IT IS THE NAME OF THE MUSLIM GOD! The Christian Churches stopped using the Name "Allah". Another proof is the Shahadah which states "THERE IS NO GOD, BUT ALLAH..." does this not show that "Allah" does not mean "God"?
Explain to me HOW CAN ALLAH BE THE SAME GOD OF THE CHRISTIANS? Allah says he does not have a "Son" and Jesus did not die, BUT THE BIBLE STATES THAT GOD (YHUH) HAS A "SON" AND HE DIED AND WAS RESURRECTED?

If the word FATHER IS A NAME in Isaiah 9:6, then in Matthew 28:18-20 the word "FATHER, as well the words SON and Holy Spirit" are PROPER NAMES too and not only TITLES according to oneness interpretation. 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Brad, DO YOU REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED WHEN JESUS WAS BAPTIZED? What Jesus said previously was fulfilled and the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit WERE PRESENT.
      In Mark 1:10 it says:
10 And immediately, coming up from the water, HE SAW the heavens parting AND THE SPIRIT descending upon Him like a dove.
11 THEN A VOICE came from heaven, “YOU ARE MY BELOVED SON , in whom I am well pleased.”
      God Bless!

Brad, can I be baptized and saved if I have been baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit?

If we are to only be baptized in Jesus name… in Matthew 28:19 why didn’t he say “baptizing them in my name”? Matthew 10:22 and Matthew 18:22 says “my name” so I just wonder if our salvation depended on this it wouldn’t it be clear for us to baptize in his name only? I’m not disagreeing that you can baptized in Jesus name, I just don’t understand how repeating exactly what Jesus said as being wrong as he said in Matthew 28:19.

Father son holy spirit are tittles not names. Notice the singular use of the word Name not names. There is no trinity.

So easy to know what is the right way and Peter did baptize right acording to Colosians 3:17 what ever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus also said; nobody comes to the Father except through Me. So everything we do must be through Jesus as Colossians 3;17 says for He is the way. For there is one God, one faith, one baptism.

Acts 2:38 (in the Name of Jesus Christ) and Acts 19:5 (in the Name of the Lord Jesus) where in the Bible does it say to be baptised in "Jesus" Name only?

Jesus said all power under heaven and in earth was given unto me of my Father. JESUS is the only name that will save and has the authority to save(all power).

@@kenj4711 right, I agree...totally! I just want to know😞if "Christ" or "Lord" is omitted (Bible is clear on adding or subtracting anything to what's written) during baptism, is baptism done right or wrong? I was asked which Jesus in the Bible is baptism done in, seeing there are three, (that I know of) in the Bible that have the same name as Jesus, but there is only One Jesus Christ and One Lord Jesus...just saying shouldn't we obey what the Apostles commanded then, to be baptised in the "Name of Jesus Christ, or Lord Jesus" instead of in the "Name of Jesus" only, that way the ppl that want to be baptised will know which Jesus is pronounce over them as they go under the water, I think it is very important to know, don't you?

In the name Jesus Christ we should be baptized. Please make sure you include Christ or Lord. Read Acts2:38
To and do it just like the Apostle Peter.

You can know which baptism is the right one, in John 14 the Bible says the holy ghost teaches all things so when the lord reveal the right baptism don't question God, the right baptism is in name of Jesus.

Biblical baptism is always executed correctly by full immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I have a sincere question. Along with studying the Trinity/Unity, I have also been studying Islam. And in my studies and by watching numerous debates, I have found one of the most commonly used questions to stump Christians is this: Muslims ask, "If Jesus is God then how can God die on the cross?" I've had this explained from a trinitarian viewpoint and it makes sense, but I would love to get a Unitarian view of this since I'm being more convinced the Unitarian view is more biblical. Thank you for that BTW and *****please only gentle answers out of love, I don't tolerate rudeness. God Bless :0)
