Cayenne / VW Touareg DIY Drive Shaft Support Bearing Repair original parts

- This video is an instruction on how to change the support bearing for the centre driveshaft on a Porche Cayenne or (in this case) a VW Touareg, using original parts. I think this is the best and, for sure, the cheapest way to go. There are other parts on the market where you can change the support in situ, but this means the old bearing needs to be reused. The most important thing here is to make sure the axle is put together aligned with exactly the same splines as it came apart. This job took approx 3,5 hours from lifting to lowering.

Hi Hans, I just watched your video along with my mechanic, can you please write down the part number which you had to cut out in order to fit the new bearing.
If you mean the partnumber for the kit, I think it is readable in the beginning of the video, on the new bearing housing. Meyle something

How do you know bearing support bracket failure didnt ruin the cage in the joint?
Check the inside grooves for any wear
