Thanks for the very informative video Adam and Justin. My friend Carl and I had the pleasure of meeting Justin and his beautiful wife a year ago February at the gorgeous Villa Calitas for the sunset . Hope to get back to Jaco this coming Winter depending on the covid situation , Cheers 🥂 guys .
Hey Lindsay! Thanks for your lovely comments! Villa Caletas does indeed have some amazing views over the ocean! If you do get to come back I am sure Justin would happy to help you guys out and perhaps visit somewhere new! Saludos from Costa Rica! - Adam
Hey Carol, thanks for getting in touch! Justin is based just outside of the town of Jaco on the central pacific coast. It's just over an hour away from San Jose! You should come down and check it out. This was a video we did a few years for an in-depth look: ruclips.net/video/-X5H1YG5exw/видео.html&t
Hi! I'm a musician looking to set up a mini tour down in Costa Rica sometime in the winter months. Can you suggest an area that would appreciate original music?
Hello Barbara, I'll say everywhere in Costa Rica original music is appreciated but maybe the beach towns (in the pacific and caribbean) will be a good place to start.
Or just don't. I moved to u.s.a from Costa Rica because tourists make videos like these and people go buy property and that drives prices up for locals. Go visit please do really but don't make Costa Rica like your Hawaii where it's impossible for locals to make a living
Please explain this a little more. If people retire there they aren't working, how does this affect employment of the locals? Thanks so much for your answer!
Instead of cliche stuff or how great life is and painting the perfect picture, why not go straight to the wife and how good she is or how crappy the pay is? I mean I want a comparison and contrast discussion the next time.
Hey Johnathan, Some interesting points here! I know that Lucia (Justin's wife) works closely with him on their different projects. However if we were to have more Costa Rican's on the show about Living in Costa Rica, what info would you be interested in asking them that would help anyone thinking about relocating or traveling here?
@@CostaRicanVacations Stick to foreigners and have a comparison and contrasion. Ask the costa ricans how to navigate the bus or where to catch the bus? Travel times or how price negotiating works in CR when purchasing a product and so on.
Expat is short for expatriot. I don't deny my country. Expat does have a negative stigma. Why is it every other culture immigrates but Americans are expats? Makes no sense.
@@johnathangreene1947 This is a very good point and perhaps a subject to dive into. Indeed many foreigners who take up residence in Costa Rica are considered 'expats' short for ex-patriots. Though it seems few will actually give up their citizenship so 'ex-pat' seems somewhat misleading.
This is an interesting point Jack, here is an article that examines both terms and more and offers some reasoning behind the term: www.bbc.com/worklife/article/20170119-who-should-be-called-an-expat

What part of Costa Rica does your guest live in. I’m seriously thinking about relocating.

Stop referring to immigrants as “expats”
