The toe area isn’t wood. It’s hard canvas and meshing your toes go inside it. A lot of the clack you are hearing comes from the sole of the shoe.. the shank area hitting the floor.

Mackenzie is a very hard worker (not saying that you are not) and it just takes time to do such difficult skills. You will get there in time
you are literally AMAZING! You're gonna be a famous ballerina one day. one thing that could help is you tend to raise your extended arms shoulder a bit. not super noticeable but keeping that shoulder lowered could help with your balance. you are genuinely one of the best young ballerinas I've ever seen. BEAUTIFUL!
i have a question what age did you start doing doubles on pointe? i’m 13 and i’ve been on pointe for over a year now and whenever we practice pirouettes in class it’s just really hard for me to do. my dance teacher calls me a strong dancer and i can do many things on pointe and i can do like triples on flat, but then when i go on pointe i just cant. i wanna know if it’s normal for me to not be able to do pirouettes right now because i feel like i will never be as good as you and i look up to you and i wish to be as good of a dancer as you
That’s very normal. I can do doubles on pointe and I’ve been en pointe for not even a year but you just need to keep practicing and really just focusing on just doing one and then stop and if you are feeling confident try a double! But don’t worry you will get there!
Don’t worry it’s normal for pointe to be hard the first year. I’m twelve and on my third year of point right now and just got my doubles. It is completely normal for it to be hard year one.
Completely normal turning on pointe is hard just keep practicing i think it may be a mental block so maybe practice half’s then try a controlled single or just releves on pointe to try break your mental block
You had the answer in your self talk. Your extensions in the Odille variation will be great if you're able to get on your leg and discipline your self to hold the balance for a second. The same with the last variation. Beautiful work! (It's hard to spring up to get a double rond de jambe and then balance the extension.)
@@genevieveguertin1317 what helped me was practicing the motion of fouette turns without actually turning at the barre and in center. as i felt more comfortable, i would then turn at the barre and then move to center. (also get a turning board if you don't already have one! that'll help your turns in general) hope it helps
i can even land a single pirouette and in my contemporary dance the teacher was like “3 alcicones into 2 floats” i did a single pirouette in place of all of that 😭😭

do you mind a quick correction? I noticed on your odette turns on the ones that went wrong you threw your weight back a bit when you looked up to your arms in 5th - I think this might be coming from being less confident on the doubles, so you aren't pulled up as well in your core and your upper back and neck, so when you look up you don't have the freedom do to it and your chest pushes forwards and your shoulders go back, hope this helps.....I thought you did the grand pas classique turns very well - stop beating yourself up, you are better than you think you are, it would probably help you to try and self correct when you try things like this, do you watch and of Claudia Dean's videos? She gives herself corrections in some of her "can I still dance" videos, trying to think like that would help you.
For the double beat I would assume you'd have to apply something practiced in sprinting. It's basically the popping and quick flex of the quad then relaxing and flexing once more. This is quick and stability comes from the core (obviously you know)

That's normal!! A year on pointe isn't that long and turning on pointe can be scary. Just keep practicing 💕
