someone in college only has lemons and a shot glass... sounds about right!!! lol Where's the Tequila and Corona's? :)
And remember, he must of had that shot glass since he was very young! After all he was using it to help sell his “special” lemonade!
Corona isn’t there until you cough on someone
Don't you two sound like a proper dildo !!!
Bro can we speak together ?
Right lol
Becareful of devaluing the coins. Vinegar and salt for 10 seconds then dip in to a neutralizer like baking soda and water. Then rinse with water.

Good luck with your channel
If it is a valuable coin that has a lot of dirt and grime you probably shouldn’t clean as you might damage it. If there is no way to tell then go ahead but make sure you do your own research on proper technique.
I know I’m late but I hope this helps a little.
Dude, it's hard to believe you done that with a lemon.
Vinegar and baking soda is a lot better route
Vinegar and lemon juice with a drop of peroxide
Ketchup works too.
U should use vinigar
👍❤️
I love you

You know what they say, when life gives you lemons you squeeze it into a shotglass and clean off pennies.
At 02:28 the left 'wheat ear' of the Lincoln Cent can be seen along the top edge. As you turn the coin, the general hump of Lincoln's shoulder can barely be discerned and about the same for Abe's head as you point out from 04:05 onward.
The 1910 was a remarkable find in that condition.
Yeah I thought I could see a wheat ear on it too, but since the coin was already toasted, I figured why not try and get a date off of it. It didn't go so well though...
Thank you for this information . Great
I love you, man! And your videos ... but this was too funny. The friggin lemon was worth more than that cent in the condition it was in even if it had cleaned up perfectly. I'd have sent the other half of that lemon to PCGS for acidic grading!
Vinegar and salt is the best. Try it and you will see
Yup, that worked like a beauty on a bunch of Pennies that have been through a lot the last 5 years being outside in the rain and sunshine
That's what she said.
I find that you need to let the coin soak for an hour or more to get good results. It also works on steel pennies.
I use olive oil and patience. It takes a long time but leaves the penny intact. When I say long time I mean months. Get a little Tupperware container with lid and pour a generous amount of olive oil in there, cover, check and shake it once a month till the olive oil is so gross you need to change it. Check coin and repeat if necessary.
Wow that's a lot of patience! I know lemon juice isn't a great method...I was just using what I had at the time. I knew the coin was beyond saving anyway haha
hi q, we have something here in the uk hp brown sauce, its very acidic and cleans detected coins up a treat, i dont know if you have it over there but heinz tomato ketchup with a dash of malt vinegar works too.

@Ruby Gaming does it not cause pitting on the coin?
No offense to you because you do a great show but lasers are so old I used to have one in a cheap $10 CD player cleaning coins should cost next to nothing with laser technology. Technocrats are crooks!
You killed it. One this crusty is better qualified for electrolysis. I only use lemon juice to bring out the guilt in old dug buttons. With any of these cleaning methods the key is to check the coin/relic as often as possible. Too many times have I seen people cook them to death while cleaning.

I DIG HISTORY u
Why did the buttons have "guilt"?
Were they remorseful for having fallen off?
if after you take a coin out of lemon juice try using dish soap and a soft toothbrush to take off the rest of the crud from the coin while the crud is still soft and wet
E. Fifield I
The rest of the cud. Haha
Soak the penny longer I thought I started to see a date
1994
@@nickpatella1525 that’s what I saw
Thanks for sharing! Find many crusty, caked-up coins detecting so will give that a try! 👍🦈🦈🦈

Non liquid approach. A rubber pencil eraser. It doesnt damage the copper coin.
Looks like 1941 the light on the coin when you were holding it. Take care. Love your videos.
I saw the 4 as well. But it looked to me like 1944
There was a lot of acid in college in the 1960's.
Be sure and eat the Lemon while you're waiting for results.
😂😂😂
TIP: Many people are not aware of this, but fresh urine helps clean grit off very old coins and it is totally safe because urine is sterile.
There are numerous zinc coins worth money, also are you a Mickey Mouse fan I see you wearing a shirt with a big M ? Hopefully you're not a Michigan fan !!! LOL !!!
Me: oh well its hopeless
Quin **Grabs Lemon**
interesting info. After my friend got cancer from drinking to much coke and after he died I never drank coke again but it sure shines up coins very well and definitely works but I have coins that are so old that I can not see any bit of a date and only about two letters slightly visible on the coins and they look more like metal discs with nothing to see on them so I'm afraid to try clean them but if there is any tricks or advice on how to see the date on a coin, help be appreciated
Please do not use lemon on your coins. Its acidic & not recommended for using on coins. Cleaning (or trying to clean) your coins will reduce the value of your coins. You also risk the chance of not being able to get your coins certified at all.
Note: Grading & certification are 2 different things.
I see the wheat ears on the back,
Coin Hunter no
Oh 1908 I’ll say that’s what Beve lemon tooth is rebilling to you when ever you get that day off with a penny, let me know
BAD IDEA1 i had a 1970 penny that i dug up while gardening. it also was under a layer of volcanic ash from mt saint helen's volcano in 1980. i put it in olive oil and it took months but cleaned up nicely. i had another penny like that and saw a video about cleaning. i added a cou[ple drops of lemon juice to the olive oil. it stripped the finish right off the coin, a copper one, and ruined it completely. if the penny was a 1909, it still would have been ruined. the original finish is important to collectors. OLIVE OIL....
Yes never clean coins is what I have always been told when I was selling coins.
With my luck it would be a 1909 s vdb lol. I do see wheat ears for sure though
Steven Michael hahaha that would result in the most mixed feelings I've ever had 😂
Great job ruining your coin!
+James Duan how tho
Don't coins lose value if you clean them?
James Duan a coin without a date doesn't have any value to begin with. It didn't work this time, but if I were able to get a date off the coin, at least I would know what I have. Just a fun little experiment anyway!
Try electrolysis next time I watch a lot of restoration videos and the people doing the restoration set it up in minutes. Good luck 😊
its a wheat cent:
noticed a wheat shape
its a lincoln
look at 3:25
I heard a video of coin collectors who swore by using acetone to clean up your coins and it was not detected when graded.
Olive oil cleans pennies really well you just have to let me rub them with your fingertips in the olive oil
Do you still live in Ann Arbor? because i live in ypsi and would like ro meet you!!!!
Vinegar, soak it for a while then throw some cooking salt. It works.

Hey Quin. I'm also a metal detectorist. My favorite way to clean up older copper coins is to toothpick it. Then wipe it with your thumb. I've had a lot of success with it. Some of my crustiest and toastiest coins coins have turned out great. You can repeat the process multiple times for the best result.
how to clean alluminum coins

What about artificial citric acid.is it not suitable for clean coins?
Did that coins year really say 1910?
That's 1943 coin :o nice find
Hot sauce packet. Stuff it in & wait 5 or 3min.
Toilet bowl cleaner works really fast and really well but I suggest to dilute it in water bcuz all my pennies turned a really strange pink color which probably destroyed any value they might have had . I have not tried it diluted yet but I imagine that it would work fine and be less I guess damaging might be the word. Just not pink. I don't know if there is a way to bring back the original color. Maybe if I leave thmin water for a day or something. I have to look into that. However, it definitely removes all the crust, dirt, green tarnish, erosion etc. Of course it does not remove holes that is caused by the metal eroding but it cleans them very fast.
plot twistm the little red coin was a 1909 s vdb
I just found a old Indian head penny and its covered in DRY dirt like stuck on it.. i want to see the date but dont want to hurt the coin, how do i get it off safely?? if i dont have lemon juice??
that oly lemon juice and sal
I've had corroded coins that I've used vinegar and baking soda. Coin in cup some baking soda apx 1 tbsp then use gentle pour of vinegar & use a larger glass. Do it in sink or small dish tub. Let us know cuz I saw a Lincoln head when you put coin down. Good luck ...go blue😀
Or u could just send it to PCGS for restoration
영상 잘 보고 갑니다.^^
Today's modern zinc pennies will not be around in 50 years in circulation! Even the new clad quarter's are showing quick deterioration!
Zink pennies with some errors can be worth $$$
Does Lemon juice reduces the value of coin
Hello guys cool trick for coins if u don't have the right cleaning supplies at home all u got to do is find a lemon tree in your favor maybe it's nextdoor at a friendly nabors butl like too say u can use lime juice as well to find hitting maps on back of some old treasure maps if there's any meaning to anyone of history in there family many odd and unusual and mysterious if u got that feeling deep inside that there maybe a mystery to come about a message from a loved one from up above heavens skyies don't hesitate even if no one believes u at first go right a head always listen to your Heart and the answers will come to your right sences and maybe start to remember back as far as a young kid or adult , child the reasons how can it be for a person to see how blessed they really are out of the blue with such beautiful treasures God bless all of you who reads my comments
baking soda tooth paste
I guess if you add some backing soda it would be a better cleaning..just a thought!!
They just go blue after they've dried
You have to do several dips; Caustic Soda, Lemon Juice, Lastly use Fairy Liquid/ soapy water. The result should way way better.
"use rubber gloves"
Maybe the least caustic....some people will just start with a soft dry toothbrush for things that come out of the ground.
Don't like the lemon juice. if the coin had any value it would be worthless now... not good.
