    This road is good for drivers that want to take their time and those who wants to take a break from freeways.

    Quite a change from the recent I 29 series

      Yep. Time to get back to basics and cover more stuff in Louisiana. At least until our next out-of-state trip. Which might not happen for a while.

    Nice. I took this ride last year. Totally different this close the city

      I had covered this part of LA-46 before, but decided to do it again. The rest of the highway is a sharp contrast to the part in the city.

      @@504RoadTrips Definitely so.
      I went to the "End of the world" last April. Very interesting drive on LA 46 and LA 300

      @@midnightmystery544 46 is a 4-parter. I’m currently working on LA-300, which is a bit difficult to edit because I can’t really show the entire highway.

      I think out trains are nocturnal here. I rarely see them during the day. That must be when they sleep.

    Did LA 46 ever end at another highway in New Orleans?

    • @504RoadTrips
      @504RoadTrips  3 года назад +1

      It doesn't look like it. But it appears that prior to around 1970, the current LA-46 was LA-39, and Claiborne/W. Judge Perez east of Elysian Fields wasn't a state highway. LA-46 started at Poydras and ran along what is now LA-300 to Reggio, and then followed its current route between Reggio and Shell Beach.

      Almost every trip I’ve made into New Orleans for the last 5 years (besides cutting through on the interstate) has been for videos for this channel.
