Hi Rene, thanx for a review with depth. I've got a question for you: Normally I ski both NTN Freeride and Freedom, and for both NTN bindings, sometimes I've got problems with wet snow packing underfoot, and I'm not able to perform tele turn like normal. I'm not able to put adequate forward pressure, because the snow that builds up from beneath becomes an obstacle. Not quite sure how to fraise the question, but I hope you understand the issue. (this might be due to the construction of the NTN, the snow packs within the "frame" under foot) Anyways, have you encountered this problem with the medjo? Regards.

Good review, I like the song a the end. You didn't mention release capabilities or the actual weight of the binding.

It is supposed to release and Pierre Mouyade, the inventor shows it on is youtube videos but I never got to test that, as it never released on my nor should it have. Also, I know that you should not count on any binding to release with 100% accuracy. This does not exist in the Tele or alpine world. So just a nice bonus I guess.
The weight is 800 grams I think. I never weighted them but that's what the manufacturer's specs says.

Yeah, I tore my ACL while using a releasable tele binding years ago. Classic butt slamming onto the tail of the ski. I read some more about these bindings and sounds like they could be a little more "active", and not sure how many boots have the tech inserts yet. Cool idea, I think they are on the right track.

just a question regarding your "update" section at minute 13 of your very helpful video. Are these updates included in version of the Meidjo 2.0 that one can buy now? Or are those to be included in the next version? How does one know if one has the version with the fixes?

That's the actual version, 2.0 some little adjustments have been made on this 2.0 version in 2017. But it's still considered the 2.0. Like I said, there is now some protection on the front lever for the pole marks and the red tap ( that broke on me) is now stronger. So far, nothing broke for me this year (jan 2017)

stick the back tip of the ski into the snow. The ski will be fixed while you step on it and no digging is needed. French UCPA guide showed me this whole off pist.

    Nice review dude...
Re: Breakages. Have you ever skied Bishop Bombers and did you manage to break them?

boz469 no I have not tried the bishop. I’m going to try the BMF tgis season though. For toughness, so far the Outlaw are a solid option.

absolutetelemark the reason I ask is after 15 years of abusing my Bombers and doing everything possible to break them, I’ve been unable to do so. Busted a few skis, yes, but never the bindings...
Alloy & Stainless Steel beats plastic any day, weight penalty or not! 👍
