  • I finally got my first opportunity to try my grapple out with moving some logs. I bought it with the tractor because I knew it would come in handy some day, and I was right. It made quick work of the logs and saved my neighbor from having to pull them all with his truck.

I'm sure the guy with the chainsaw knew what he was doing. Still, I wouldn't have been comfortable having my tractor any where near the tree felling. Great video.

Thx! I'd be lying if I said there hadn't been a few times I've repositioned myself to feel more comfortable. 😂

Nice, concentrate on centering the logs so you don’t bend your loader! I keep saying to myself loader low loader low. I flipped 3 tractors before I learned! 😊

Thx! I had heard of people bending arms by not centering a load, so I do try to be as close to the COG as possible.
Flipped 3 tractors? What was that experience like? Is it like operating a forklift (feet planted, brace and lean away from impact, kiss butt goodbye)? I think that's the procedure, if I remember correctly 😆

@@ShapingTheLandscape I have been driving tractors for 70 years, I flipped the tractors over backwards while logging When I was a kid. That was not uncommon.

I went with the 4020 because I figured the 25 didn't have enough power plus it's not a big price difference between the 2

I just didn't want to deal with the emissions. I already drive a 2013 Ram 3500 with the DPF filter. Had to pull that out last fall and clean it. It was that or a $4500 new one. When I heard that the 26hp is the same motor as the 35hp, but without the DPF, I decided to go that route. There's videos showing how to turn up the fuel screw to get all of the power. I'm just waiting on the warranty to run out 🤫

@ShapingTheLandscape talked with the mechanic he said he's yet to see one with a dpf problem yet in two years I'm sure one day it will be a problem though

Also he said you will never put enough hours on it to worry about it going bad just let it regen every 30 hours I'll be hard pressed to get 30 hours in one years time even

@@Patriot-pq1ku I had 30 hours in just repairing my driveway. Got it in March and I'm already at 110+ hours. You never know just how much fun you'll find, to have with it.

@@Patriot-pq1ku I blew my emissions filter out because One of the injectors failed. Mechanic told me it was the first one they’ve seen.

How do you like the 2620? Im trying to decide between the 2610 and 2620....

So far, I've really enjoyed it. There's not a whole lot different from the 2610. Different hood, and it comes with the 3rd function loader handle. Not the valve kit, just the handle with the buttons. My understanding is that they will phase out the 2610, so it may be beneficial to grab a leftover at a possible discount and just have the 3rd function added.
