Never has a song or vocal performance stirred such emotion within me that the only way to release it was through tears. Her voice was made for that song.

They made sure it sat on the right key for her and she actually also aided in production for the song. Thats why it sits well for her. A somg is made for someone not a voice is made for a song lol

For those who don’t know she is singing about slavery and she is enacting Harriet Tubman from the movie that she directed and came up with, Harriet. The picture at the end was Harriet Tubman and the ending lyrics on the song were the words that Harriet said at the end of her life. “I go to prepare a place for you” were Harriet’s last words and the last words of the song. Absolutely GENIUS!! She’s AMAZING!!
CE...SANG the starch out of this song!! The depth, the register, the breath work, the timing, the snarl, the grit, the soul...she left no crumbs. Jaron worked his magic on the dissection of her redition of this great work.
