How she did not win an Oscar for her performance is beyond me. Being the only POC nominated at the 2020 Oscars, this should have been her year. Truly outstanding.

Im curious for everyone not American if they understand the meaning and her literally embodying how Harriet would sing if she did and what she would want to say. She was the perfect choice. British or not. She understood the assignment of what slavery was and how horrific it was and how ignorant my people were to the fact that "owning people" was not normal. Shes so perfect.

Love your break down and she is one of the best voices of our generation. Some feedback, you need to probably play the whole song once and then go back and react. You have a lot of good points but interrupt the song so frequently that you don’t ever get a chance to get the whole feel of the song to appreciate your comments even more.
