Exhaust Sound: Golf V R32 vs E420 CDI

2008 Volkswagen Golf R32 has got Milltek non-resonated cat back exhaust consisting of resonator delete and Milltek muffler. ECU-software has been tuned to make the car backfire nicely on shifting, just like gen 6+ Golf R!
2008 Mercedes E420 CDI has got straight pipe exhaust cat back, replacing DPF and mufflers, built by Kleemann.

The R32 does sound glorious, however. A while after this video was shot, it got cat delete. You should have heard it... and at shifting it would shoot flames with the spark-cut. I regret not taking the chance to film it, before my friend sold it.

Yeah, the merc is overlooked by most, which makes it even more desirable in my opinion. I'm attracted to the rare and unusual. Either way, to each their own, and you don't have to like it. But thank you!
R32s sound amazing. They're getting increasingly expensive, and they are becoming an increasingly rare sight too.
