    I'm 6'2" with a 34" inseam, ride on the oem rally seat and just love the Puig Touring windscreen! With my height the sight-line over the screen is still excellent. I even mounted the screen on my 3d printed risers and raised to the top my vision over the screen is still good, although unless I'm doing a long highway cruise I don't raise it. Anyways, for tall riders this is a good screen. I switch back to my oem screen if I'm going to be doing long rides on dirt roads for better vision and safety. Also, because I live in the North (Yukon) this screen eats most of the bugs before they splatter on me! And this is one of the worst years for bugs in living memory. 😆

      I've actually just noticed that since switching back I have to clean my helmet shield a lot more often haha.

    I got the same windsheild for my tenere. I wasn’t to sure of it at first… it was waaay to long and looked so goofy. But after like… 7000 miles using it, I love it. Works good enough and I think it looks amazing. It’s grown on me

    love the reviews, you put me on to dirttracks for my rear racks and they work great man. I went the opposite direction for a windscreen since I'm Xtra tall and I figured I'd need a tower to get ride of the buffeting the stock is giving me. hope to get it in soon (powerbronze).

    Firstly, congratulations on your new daughter :)
    I have been happy with my aftermarket National Cycle VStream Windshield - I bought both the sport/touring and and the Touring screens, for my 2021 Yamaha Tenere 700.
    Touring screen: 17 inches high, 17 inches wide - I am 6ft 1, regular seat, I can see over this one if I am sitting bolt upright, but if I even slouch a bit, I am looking through the screen, which I do not like - blocks the wind well, but not ideal.
    Sport/Touring screen: Yup, this is the one I like best: 15.25 inches high, 15 inches wide, I can see nicely over this one whether I slouch or not, nice wind protection - I recommend this one if you are roughly the same height as me.

    I'm the same height and have similar buffetting issues with the stock screen. I've tried the adjustable risers and they didn't do much. I've heard people have had good results with no screen or one of the shorter screens. I find when I stand up at highway speeds the clear air is actually an improvement.

    • @SwankyCatProductions
      @SwankyCatProductions  2 года назад +1

      I've always wondered about the risers, seems like they wouldn't help me much either. The shorter screen seems like it might be a good option since the free air is often much better than the buffeting.

      Same height here too, was going to post the same thing. Was looking at the shortest Powerbronze or WRS screens as a possible option to try.

    • @SwankyCatProductions

      Camel ADV high mount exhaust kit! Comes with a baffle but I removed it which gives it the deep tone. The point of the kit is to put the pipe in a safe location so the hanger doesn't get bent and busted off when the bike gets dropped. Here's a link to their page (I make a small commission if you purchase anything through the link) camel-adv.com/?ref=eOBjZXsn

    Maybe I'm being ignorant but why do so many motorbike videos in the USA always have the high beams on? Is there some different regulation there, that you have to drive with high beams on?

    • @SwankyCatProductions
      @SwankyCatProductions  5 месяцев назад

      Huh interesting. I run them on high during the day to help grab other people's attention so they might notice me instead of looking at their phones...

    • @captain_bretzel
      @captain_bretzel 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@SwankyCatProductions That's fair... I think this might not be allowed in Europe and people would flash their lights back at you to warn that you "forgot" your high beams :) I already get that sometimes for having my fogs permanently on (same reason as you, added visibility).

  • @shperax

    Have you ever tried shifting without using the clutch? Generally, on all types of vehicles including a car, you only use the clutch to take off from a dead stop. Downshifting with no clutch takes some practice, but up-shfting is easy. It's just unnecessary clutch wear. Feel free to do your own research on the matter. There are lots of videos that teach you how it's done.

    Don't like the buffeting on your helmet ? take off that gaud-awful thing on top of your helmet
    it does nothing but catch the wind ! if you like it because of the shade it provides ( understandable) get a helmet with a retractable sun-glasses like my modular helmet !!!
    a dirt riding helmet is not for street riding ! believe me ... been there done that !
    for 70+mph you want the smoothest slickest helmet you can get and gusts from 18 wheelers will still surprise you... with a dirt bike helmet it might pull your head back real hard and you'll have to re-orientate yourself.... at a critical moment that can get you killed !
    get a street helmet buddy !!!

    • @SwankyCatProductions
      @SwankyCatProductions  2 года назад

      Haha yeah I'll be honest I just like the look of it. I actually have a flip down shade in my current helmet. Hunkering below the windshield usually takes away wind blast form trucks but it can be bad if it catches you off guard.

      I actually got one of the first ones that came to the USA. I wanted to see how far I could take it off the road and what I could make it do. While it's certainly not the best bike for it, it'll do a darn good job even on single track trails and messy ATV trails. It's been dropped, jumped and run on they hwy for hours. Never missed a beat but not I moved on and sold it to my dad!
