As an American completely obsessed with England's historical architecture, I'm so grateful to Lord Curzon for all the work he did to make sure all these beautiful buildings were saved for future generations to admire and love.
Having a bit of English blood in me I find their history fascinating. I definitely don’t think I’m descended from THESE people that lived in these palaces though, lol. I can’t believe the level of wealth that existed and how did the ppl in their villages live? Wow I’m not sure how to feel about all this. Fascinating video
That dress is AMAZING! Cathy Hay has a RUclips channel and she is trying to reproduce the Peacock Dress. I think she might have a workroom in India embroidering the fabric currently. She has several vlogs that dive into its creation.
A lovely home but I can't help wonder what happened to the villagers when they were evicted. Did N Curzon help t o relocate them or help them at all since they were losing their homes? It's nice that Lord Curzon helped with the Taj Mahal but what was done to feed the starving people? It's sad and shameful when things become more important than human beings. What kind of legacy is that?

I've been to Tattersall Castle and am an admirer of an attempt to replicate the Peacock Dress. I had no idea the two were so related.

32:28 the dress also needs to have the people that made that dress shine too.
