Hey Brother, love the channel . We are all used to you traveling parts of the country and showing us other fire houses and apparatus, but what about showing us YOUR home firehouse and apparatus? I think it would be a unique look … you’ve dedicated your channel to going behind the scenes at everyone else’s houses , think about showing us where u came from ! Keep up the good work
I would need to see proof. Three reasons I say so is cause there is no way this account would have been created in 2014, and you have absolutely zero videos and no profile picture indicating such a thing, lastly, your name on the account (and tag) is a very easy teller. @@kellykurin426
This is a beautiful station with a lot of history. I like seeing the old firehouses and learning the history behind them. Mike; I enjoy watching your videos and I hope you enjoyed your time in Michigan. As a fellow Michigander I love the upper peninsula. Absolutely gorgeous up there. Stay safe!
Great episode please keep doing more Fire Stations from Michigan there's so many of them for you to visit so much more interesting than any of the other stations outside of Michigan
He goes where he is invited... not to mention he works as a Firefighter EMT outside of Michigan personally as someone who has been subscribed to his channel for a while and knows how it works I like him doing stations outside of Michigan it shows many different state laws and perspectives on things.
Mike... you asked about fire police... not many departments in Michigan have fire police or any traffic unit of any sort... though I know two places have traffic control... Grand Rapids has a dump truck that is traffic control and Saginaw has an old retired stripped engine that is used for traffic (called a blocker) though I do feel township/counties/ small areas should get fire police or traffic vehicles (especially areas that have a ton of snow).
@@EricWhiteTheGamer Ya, I cant, and idk if my director (who is also the fire cheif) would not probably go for that too. We are not exactly the finest department out there, definately not showcase worthy.
I am not an FF but have wanted to get Mike to come to my local station and have the same issue, they do not want to do it and understandably but unfortunately Mike does not do "cold calls" anymore... cold calls I assume being calling and asking if he can tour them. But hey it is worth a shot and I have to admit some of the departments on here it is like okay... cool... thanks... but lame... very rare but a couple... what does your department have station, apparatus, specialization, training wise, anything? @@sterlingodeaghaidh5086
What he was trying to say to me is that the department is not worth it as there is not much to it or something and maybe the department has a policy against allowing someone to come record or tour without going through the proper systems. @@johnlebzelter4208

Little surprised you didn't know what paid on call was paid on call firemen have been around Michigan since the 1970s Plainfield Township was largely paid on call with the exception of three drivers across the township all the rest of the firemen were paid on call in the 70s 80s through the 90s now they have paid on call salary firefighters etc etc really surprised you being for Michigan you didn't know that

Thanks, I am 19 and not even an FF... I have seen Mike's other videos and know Mike is an FF/EMT and I am from Michigan... anyways to my point if I know what the difference is between paid-on-call, volunteer, full-time, part-time and I am sure there are few others are and knew that at a young age then people in a Fire Department probably know but as I said I could be wrong because not everyone can and does know everything. Again thanks!@@johnlebzelter4208

I very much agree.
Station rigs on the antique will be awesome.
Gotta love the history and the station willing to maintain and honor those that came before.
Can't wait to see Alex in the next video after you said it in the end.
Thanks for saying that cuss. I'm Alex the one in the video

Damn, TWO badges? That guy must be the coolest one in the station.
The small one symbolizes that I am a board member of the Upper Peninsula Fire Fighters Association.
Is good ❤
Great job again
Very nice
Can’t wait to see the next video. You need to come up to Lake Delta fire dept in upstate New York Oneida County.🚒🚑
Someone from the department needs to send him and email invite.

I’m going to have to make another trip to Phoenix 😂love going to the hall of flame but hate Phoenix traffic
This is awsome! You need to do an AARF station one day.
I feel like he has but could be wrong... if you know someone at one have them send him an email invite though.

You need to come to Richmond Indiana
@erniecougill4278 Mike, doesn’t need to do anything for you! He needs invited to visit stations.
Correct typo in description. It's Brian, not Brain.
Thanks. Totally missed that !
Very Nice Firehouse.
Sure is!
Sir as I could see that you're in a uniform what department are you with
I work with Westwood fire and EMS
15:32 I love, truly love that they have their own china set.
Wish you could come do a tour of kiowa County and our stations. Poorest County in Colorado.

Fire Police seems to be a Northeast thing.
Yes... so many things seem as such honestly... I do wish more departments used them though.
