I love how you give great tips but especially how you constantly reiterate not to get discouraged. That’s one of the most important tips
So true! It's easy to get discouraged since it takes time to build momentum, but having the mindset to keep going and stay consistent with listing is half the battle!
very smart gal offering videos like this - down to earth - practical - real and authentic - and encouraging... kudos to you...
Such useful advice - yet again!
You are a great teacher! Will join your Patreon. Thanks for the encouragement.
Such great advice, thank you! New shop here and many of these tips are so helpful. ♥️

So glad it was helpful for you! I will be launching a free course series here on RUclips within the next week or so, specifically to help navigate and simplify the print on demand process for beginners. Stay tuned! :)
Thank you Mandy for your great tips! :)
Happy to help! 😊
Your makeup is so beautiful here stunning!!!! 😍 ❤
I will see you soon on your website! I need you!!
Hello, Mandy.
I'm very interested in the content of ab testing.
Can you explain the topic of when it is suitable to conduct AB testing and use the AB testing strategy to test list data?
Thank you. 😊
I’m so glad I found you!
I’m so glad that you’re here! 🥰
Hi Mandy. Thanks for your videos! Would you consider doing a review of Stan store for those of us who want to expand our Etsy and Etsy-related products to other platforms? Thank you!
I have been binging on your videos and have learned multiple things today I had not heard from other youtubers. No idea the stats button on listings existed. and I have 2 shops (one not POD but been active for a year).
The stats button is amazing!!! It definitely helps me see and understand what’s getting movement (or not) in my shops. I’m so glad you’re here and finding my videos helpful 💚💚
I am so glad I found your channel, thank you so much for the video! Question - I created an Etsy shop for kids printables but I want to start POD. Is it better to start a new shop, or I just can create a new banner and logo etc and start new POD listings? Thank you in advance.
Hi Mandy-excited to follow along in your RUclips journey! Did your newest shop get suspended and if so, how long until you got it back?
Thank you for being here! I got suspended a couple years ago with a random shop I started, but not since then - I appealed it at the time and I think it was only down for a day or two. Nowadays I've heard it can take around a week.
I have a theory though! For the last 2 shops that I started within the last 12 months I have gone into the setup process ready to go with my logo, banner, shop details etc - so when I go through the setup I'm able to complete pretty much everything right away and it's all there BEFORE I connect my print on demand provider. My theory is that this helps the shop seem legit and doesn't get tripped up in the usual bots. No idea if my theory is a real thing, but it's worked so far for my last 2 shops :)
Thank you for the great information! Do you do shop reviews?
I don’t currently have shop reviews available, but am in the process of building a more comprehensive option for supporting shop owners.
I tried copying a POD listing. When a customer ordered the copied listing, it didn’t get transferred to the POD supplier and I wasn’t aware that it didn’t get printed and shipped until I saw on my Etsy store that I was late in shipping. I lost my Star Seller status over it. My question is, how to make sure that copied listings remain synced? I still can’t figure that out! Can you do a video on that? Thank you for your straight forward and informative content!
Thanks so much for the great tips! How do you know when it's just the time it takes to work into the algorithm vs. when it's time to make changes because something isn't optimized?
It can vary, but generally I don’t touch a listing for at least 30-45 days. If it’s getting zero views/action in that timeframe then I will start making some adjustments (especially if I’m feeling confident on the design/niche). If it’s starting to get views though I generally let it go for a little while longer. If I’m on the fence sometimes I’ll actually just duplicate the listing, leave the original alone, and make changes on the new one, just to see what happens as a comparison 🤓
@@studiomdesignsco thank you!
Thanks Mandy, but when I go from listings to see the sats, doesnt reflect the visits, cause I can see less than when i listed from stas directly, why it can be?
Mandy, terrific video. Regarding listing titles, perhaps I've wasted the first precious words in an attempt to differentiate between many designs on one or two shirt types. If my shirt has text, my title begins with those words, then lists keywords (although my text may include key words.) Example, say the text reads, "Hop over on Easter Sunday" with a cute bunny graphic on a toddler's shirt. My title would read, "Hop Over Bunny unisex toddler tee ......" Am I making an optimization error here in your opinion, and don't need to include the shirt text in the title?
I wouldn’t call it an error, but I think there’s an opportunity! The question I always ask myself is: will a customer be using these words when they’re typing in their search? If the answer is no (or unlikely), then I typically wouldn’t use it in the title (or at least not in the first part - it would be fine in the description though!). The one exception is if there’s some sort of trending phrase going around - but in most case customers are using some other search term to arrive at a particular style or design (vs the design itself).
So in this case, I might instead go with something like: Cute Bunny Easter Sunday Toddler shirt - as the starter for your title (I changed up your keywords a little bit based on a quick keyword analysis in eRank) 🤓 Hope that helps!!
I just found your channel. Thank you for your tips. I’m new and I’ve been using a very basic mock-up but I thought it was ok because the design is very close and clear. If I change them, how do I actually change hundreds of mockups?
I’m so glad you’re here! 💚
Prioritize your changes - the first image is the most important, so focus on just changing that one on your listings. If you’ve got lots of products, start with listings that are getting views and favorites but no sales 😊
I also use an online tool called Get Vela. It’s built specifically for bulk shop changes (there’s a free trial I believe so if you get the mockups all ready you could change them all at once during the trial).
Hope that helps!
@@studiomdesignsco thank you ☺️
@@studiomdesignsco thanks for your tips. I checked Etsy for mock-ups but didn’t see what I wanted. Do you have a suggestion for mock-ups? So would I upload my mockups to Canva and do it there? I’ve just been using the Print on demand ones. Thank you.
@@karenduey9675 Yes, you could definitely use Canva - I've taken the plain mockups from the print provider, removed the background in Canva, and then added them to a nice looking backdrop depending on what it is. Depending on the product, PlaceIt is another great resource that I've used for creating mockups, especially if you're looking for something a little more unique 🙂
@@studiomdesignsco thanks for taking the time to help us
Hi, just wandering I sell wreaths, would your formula work for what I sell?
Absolutely! The important part is to identify your ideal buyer and terms they might use (if you’re not sure you can always duplicate a listing and try different terms - A/B testing)
Here’s a couple examples:
Decorative wreath housewarming gift for newlyweds, or Spring floral wreath Mothers Day gift for mom 😊
mandy your eyes are just sooooooooooooooooooooo pretty and shiny. love to you
Hi,if im purchase a shirt for 9$ what is the best price to sell the shirt on etsy? Thanks
There can be so many factors on pricing. It depends on whether you offer free shipping or not, which brand you use, if you want to have sizing variances, whether you plan on running sales or coupons, how much you feel comfortable with as a profit, and so on. The average range for print on demand can be anywhere between $17- $28. I highly recommend using an Etsy profit calculator (I use the free one on Etsy Hunt all the time) - it allows you to play around with the numbers based on your cost and shipping, and see exactly what your profit will be :)
Do to help new Etsy sellers with their shop? Help then figure out what to do to get sales?
Wonder if my older listings are negatively affecting my views on Etsy..I haven't even gone back to review..should I toss those older listings ?
Not necessarily, the Etsy algorithm is wild in that sometimes older listings start doing well. I've had listings randomly take off after 6 months - it's so strange sometimes! That being said, if it's been more than 90 days since you originally listed it (or if it's already gone through a renewal at least once due to expiration), I would do a quick listing check-in: Are you still feeling good about the design? Is it applicable to a specific niche? Are you getting any visits to that individual listing based on the listing stats? If the answer is no then it might be time to retire those listings and/or make some design updates. BUT, if the answer to those check-in questions is even moderately yes then I would go into those listings and change out the 1st picture (either with a different mockup or a different product view) and then make some updates to your title and tags. Typically whenever I make bigger changes like that I will then also renew the listing when I'm done - there's tons of mixed info out there on whether or not renewing works for boosting, but in my experiences it does!
@@studiomdesignsco I've went and go ahead and deleted 105 listings lol, I did what u said to go on the stats of the oldest listings and deleted those with zero view and 0 favorites. Plus I wasn't happy with the designs, and couldn't believe I even posted those, they were horrible. I've gotten a few sales but over time I notice more visits
@@blissessentials524 Yes! You've got the right idea! A combination of data-driven decisions like that (along with a little gut instinct that you have about the designs) will help you hone in on what's working. Generally you'll start to learn over time which designs are starting to get momentum and which ones were a good "learning opportunity" :)
@@studiomdesignsco thanks you! I have less listings but that's ok, out with the old and in with the new 😁
@@blissessentials524 Cheering you on!! 🎉
Thank you. Totally unrelated...I could never imagine you yelling.
Lol, you’re right, I’m a relatively unflappable person…I think it comes from years of working in HR and always needing to be the calm person in the room 😅
