DAMN!!!!!!! He was so cute! I look at him and feel sad and happy, he was my huge tv crush ever.
Oh wow! He was so cute. He is 72 now. WKRP was one my favs.
He may not look the same, but he still sounds the same and has the same twinkle in his eye.
Impressed at how he was able to handle her awkward questions. I hope he still has the farm and land he bought his parents.
I am close friend of Gary's since 1972 and yes he lives there full time...i live in Indiana now and see him quite often...his dad passed long ago but his mom is 100 yrs old and going strong. Gary is a great guy real down to earth..and he still has great buns!!! Just ran across this interview and thought you might like to know.

Pamela love the fact that you and Gary have been friends for so long. A friendship that lasts over 50 years says a lot about the two people in that friendship. I’m 65 and have been friends with my oldest friend for 63 years. My friends mom and my mom were friends their whole lives and my Grandfather and his Grandfather were friends when they were kids and grew up in Germany. Please say hi to Mr. Sandy for me next time you see him!

I remember 'All That Glitters' and I remember being uncomfortable with it, but it was still a good show. As for Gary here...he was the glue that held WKRP together - without Andy Travis, that series would have died after 13 weeks.
Every comedy needs a straight man to keep things grounded. Andy Griffith was supposed to be goofy, but he realized Don Knotts was funnier and that was only amplified if he played straight man. The pilot of The Andy Griffith Show is a bit hard to watch.
