why dont you just switch to a gated lambo 6 speed? they make those for mid engine cars like your corvette and they can take a beating better then your current transmission. try looking for a diablo transmission or something thats a stick. the reason is there isnt very many mods to the C8 tranny, so youll have to stick with a different tranny till you get it upgraded for max performance

I love when you guys get technical with explaining things. Makes the videos that much more interesting, don't worry if it sounds complicated because it is appreciated :)
I've done some clutch jobs on some newer cars and the flywheels are made with the center hub to rotate with rubber shock absorbers to absorb some of the shock when the clutch engages. If you grab the outside of the flywheel and turn it you will notice the center stays still. It should move about a half an inch.
in 1984, I had a fastish 65 mustang 302 4sp 3:55 gear, one night setting next to a Pantera to get on the 110 Fwy @ PCH going north, by the top of the on ramp I had been gapped 30 yards by a 72 maroon Pantera & I've always wanted a completely stock one. Get it Running & Enjoy the fun while you can!!

My first car was a 1973 Mercury Cougar XR7 that my father special ordered. It had a 351C R code motor, the same one they put in the Pantera that year. Bring on the Pantera, Build an old school beast.
Ages ago I used to run one of the largest Honda enthusiast sites / forums and took a trip to California. Some of the locals put together a "takeover" like that, ended up several hundred cars deep. Was the most crazy thing I had ever seen... but so amazing to think people came together like this because of a site I was a major part of running. I sort of miss those days.
I’ve lifted 4 cars off the engine/subframe with a cherry picker this year. It’s not dangerous if done right. Did it last week with a minivan. The front of the van jacks up lighter than bathe bare engine. They are light without the engine, subframe, accessories, and trans.

When I swapped the motor in my daughters Cadillac SRX, I dropped the front subframe on a dolly and then lifted the front of the car with the cherry picker, pretty light without the motor bolted to it
We did that with my VW Bug... Dropped the engine to a piano dolly and then used the cherry picker to pickup the back of the car. Obviously you can jack the back of the car up too if your jack will go high enough.

Clutch pack clamping force depends on the pressure supplied by the factory pump. Only way the steels and friction plates would burn up is if your clamping force was super tight and your engine torque matched the trans pump pressure and the weakest link would then give, the clutches or some other part.
