    GP shift is not backwards. It’s the right way.

    GP shifting feels more natural and convenient. It’s just a matter of an hour to get used to it.

    Lots of brain retraining for that. I tried it once, left it like that for about a month. I liked it but I went back to regular shift pattern. Even after a month, I would still accidentally get myself into the wrong gear.

    GP shifting is so much more comfortable while speeding up.

    Think of it like shift up to slow down and shift down to go fast.....

    I do this to my bikes because I have a bad big toe right where the shifter sits on my big toe.It`s got arthritis in the joint and hurts like a mfer when shifting up.

    Who know the real reason MotoGP bikes shift like that?

    • @wheeliebars
      @wheeliebars  4 года назад +4

      Pretty sure it’s so they can shift easier in corners

      @@wheeliebars EXACTLY.....

      Due to ground clearance when cornering and changing gears at such a low turn angle

    • @bradley_csn3043
      @bradley_csn3043 3 года назад

      @@jwg-de6fn actually it was firstly because of a triple left apex corner (don’t remember where) that needed you to shift while leaning, sneaking your big foot under the gear lever could be hard with your knee on the ground, so with it you just need to tap the lever and it’s done
