One thing I always loved about traditional country music was always the great story telling

You can thank Randy Travis and other's in the 80's - bringing back "Traditional" country and they were called the ( New Traditionalist's ). That is a big part of why country muisc exploded into what we have today. In the 90's country music's explosion's countined.

I'm from Texas, and funny thing is when i was little, there was something almost exactly like this song that happened...there was a guy that everyone called Bubba, biggest guy in the bar, he worked construction and his work truck was out front...well when the Jukebox played a song that upset him he went to his truck, only he didn't get a gun, he got the biggest sledge-hammer I've ever seen and smashed that Jukebox to pieces...He then calmly payed for his drinks and nachos he'd had, and gave the barkeep a card telling her to have the amount of the Jukebox faxed to him and he left...we saw him there regularly even after that...but the new Jukebox didn't have that song in it anymore...I don't remember the song now...I'd know it if i heard it...but i know it was played regularly at other bars...He wasn't allowed in a lot of other bars due to destroying things like that, but he was a regular at that one. I got so used to seeing him...he was a big teddy-bear of a man, he was rather kind, though i was a little kid at the time, he'd play darts with me or challenge me to pinball and such, and get sodas and nachos from the bar for me when i was there with my dad...no one messed with me when he was around, I think everyone was scared of the big guy. He was a sweetheart though, looking back on it i think he was the one who was the most protective of my siblings and I our of everyone at the bar...He didn't seem too fond of my dad who brought us there regularly though. So yeah, i guess this is a shout out to Bubba Cliff. If you see this i remember your kindness to me back then, hope you're doing well ^_^ It was years ago now, but i can still remember it clearly.

and if you ever watch any of Mark's videos...it always looks like he was singin' with a "dip" in his lower lip. That "stiff" lower lip look.
And absolutely it's a fun song to listen to! A lot of Mark's songs are!

Man, I forgot how much fun this song is! Mark was one of my favorite artists in the 90s! Bring on more 80s/90s and classic coyntry, 80s pop/rock/metal, and Dan Vasc, as well as the metal bands Dan covers, and I'll keep watching.

Some of us are from places where this is a plausible series of events. Big clue is if there are people whose actual given names are "Bubba" and "Junior".

Love this song! Good story, and an intro to the legal system, all at once! Reckless discharge of a gun? He hit exactly what he aimed for!

Bubba didn't just shoot the Jukebox, he put a hole in it the size of a nickel with that .45.

If you haven't heard it I suggest 3rd Rock from the Sun by Joe Diffie. Really fun song. The video makes it better but the song by itself is still fun.
