    Spinach Dal - Palak Dal Recipe
    Ingredients:-
    Chana Dal - 1 cup
    Spinach- 4 bunches(200g)
    Mustard- 1/2 tsp
    Cumin - 1/2 tsp
    Dried Red Chillies - 3
    Curry leaves - 2 sprigs
    Garlic cloves - 7(sliced)
    Onion - 1 (chopped)
    Tomatoes - 2(chopped)
    Green chillies - 4(chopped)
    Tamarin Juice- 2 tb spn
    Nutmeg- powder (pinch)
    Salt - To Taste
    Oil - 1 tb spn
    Water - As Required
    For Tadka:-
    Ghee - 1 tb spn
    Garlic cloves - 2 (sliced)
    Chilli powder- Pinch
    Method:-
    Wash & soak 1 cup of chana dal for 3 hours. Then add it into a pressure cooker along with pinch of turmeric & hing. Pressure cook for 3 whistle & keep aside.
    In a kadai add oil, mustard, cumin, red chilli, curry leaves & let it splutter, then add onion, salt, garlic & saute it. Now add tomatoes, green chillies & cook it closed. Once tomatoes are soft add tamarind juice, palak & cook for 3-4 minutes on high heat. Then add boiled chana dal & let them cook together for 4-5 minutes. Then add some nutmeg powder, adjust the salt& turn off the heat.
    Add a special tadka with ghee, garlic & red chilli powder in the last.
    Serve it hot with Rice or Roti.
