How to power any LED and NOT turn it to smoke?

    I am confused. How did you get 1.79 voltage drop without the LED being connected to a power supply.

    I connected a small bulb on my 24v battery.🤣 Do you know what happened? 😂It turned black and there was smoke😹

    I guess use a resistor
